We arrived right at 1900 and the restaurant opened about ten minutes late. There were three tables of people waiting to enter.
Appetizers were very good. We had duck and mushroom dumplings as well as shrimp shumai both were very good.
For ramen we had the spicy fried chicken ramen. The broth was excellent as well as the chicken flavor. I wish they had used a better cut of chicken but it was fairly typical for Japanese restaurants. The ramen noodles were in my opinion overcooked and a bit soggy.
Vibe of the restaurant is fun, clean, and casual. Waitress spoke perfect English.
I will go back and try the vegan ramen next time and then update my review.
Update:
I did go back again and of course the service and vibe were still great. This time I had the Dragon Vegan Ramen. Flavor was excellent, I could do without the fake chicken meat though. Again, the noodles were in my opinion over cooked. In the US the noodles are always al dented...
Read moreI did the spicy challenge to the max level!Had a blast here eating Ramen! As a mexican I could easily handle the spice, I did level 5 and I would've been able to add 20 more levels hahah but again, mexican taste buds. You might want to try bit by bit. I had Takoyaki as well and it was delicious. Buuuut I recommend the healthy drink, lemon ginger honey! I now make it at home, that's how good it was! Big bowls of ramen! And they can give you an apron if you want to so you don't get your clothes dirty haha sake was delicious as well and served very nicely! This is a great place for a date, if your partner loves anime, then the atmosphere is ideal!! Oh plus they put tons of anime songs as well, if you like that then you'll love it! Read moreThe food was good, although it was served in big portions. For me, personally, it was too much for me. But the ramen bowls were really nice and filling. I ordered takoyaki and some duck gyozas to go with but they were underwhelming, plus the inside of it were a little undercooked, so it was a little worrying as someone who likes seafood. The setting of the restaurant is really nice, having the Japanese neon districts aesthetic and using different anime characters and elements. The staff and service were good as well, they brought our food relatively quick. Overall, it’s nice but I’d only come back to have ramen...
