Having eaten at Lumo several times over the last few years and absolutely loving it, my group were left frustrated and utterly underwhelmed by our eating experience tonight.
The food was a mixed bag, with some dishes ok, but some were far from what we desired. My chicken brochette had 3 tiny pieces of dry chicken which lacked flavour. I ordered mayonnaise to try and add some moisture to the food, but this arrived after I finished eating. My wife's burger, despite being ordered well done had barely touched the grill (I like my steaks medium rare but found the burger barely edible).
The drinks options were limited with no sangria available and no caña (beer on tap). Our water without gas came with gas. We later saw beer being poured and delivered to the table next to us from the same tap but were later again told there is no beer on tap.
When the bill came we asked to split the bill but we told the system wouldn't allow that, despite every other restaurant having this capability in the time we've been in Málaga.
While the staff were friendly and did their best there were nowhere near enough of them and the service was slow.
In the end we left frustrated and disappointed. We won't be going back. I would avoid and look elsewhere at the many other great restaurants in...
Read moreImmediately walking over to this restaurant as 2 young females we were instantly made to feel uncomfortable by 3 men already sitting and staring at us. After little choice we decided to eat here and found out the 3 men were owners and sat on a table next to us. We ordered a burger well done and still came out pink and the sirloin steak was absolutely diabolical. I wouldn't serve this food at a funeral. However among all of this the waiter Juan was absolutely incredible! So friendly, helpful and considerate. He is a true testament to this restaurant and deserves much more than working in this hell hole. To all the managers please be less creepy on young female tourist and upgrade your food and you...
Read moreHad dinner there last night. Upon arrival we asked to sit over one table that was open and the waiter moved us somewhat begrudgingly. We ordered drinks then ordered appetizers of padron peppers and a provalone baked cheese. Both excellent. So was the bread. Service was spotty. Our waiter showed sometimes and the busboy at other times. We asked the bus boy for the bill and it had an additional item we didn't order. It got corrected but no apologies by the waiter who brought it to us. I think the waiter was just disinterested. They should promote the busboy to waiter as he had a pulse. Not sure I would go back there as there are plenty of options on the strip that appear more interested in...
