The best lunch I have had on Pedregalejo beach. El Morata is a restaurant with a 5 🤩 view. The nicely ironed linen, par la duena, a clean and friendly atmosphere and an inviting welcome. Toni is attentive to every need, I felt like royalty. The espetos were delicious, not too salty and the coquinas were perfectly cooked with not too much garlic ( so you would not be thirsty for the rest of the day) .2 glasses of heavenly verdejo and a café solo to balance all of it. On the day of my last meal I hope to eat there and then go...

Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional staff, they ignored us throughout the whole night, they never came to clean our table, they wouldn't talk to us when they were bringing the food I am not sure what their problem was we were with another couple and they treated us like we didn't exist (it wasn't busy at all, maybe 4-5 more tables and there were at least 4 waiters-the management was as rude). I never posted a negative review because I understand that there are good and bad days for every establishment but, Jesus, they...

Environment: One of the many restaurants line up in this strip. Neutrally boring and doesn’t even try to be special.

Food and Drinks: If you walk 10-15 minutes further up north, you will find cheaper places with much more choices. Sardines should be crispy. However, effort on the pulpo as well as the calamares was right on. Normal beers are served so don’t expect much.

Service: The charming rootless chef was just chill. I saw they have a card reader but they didn’t take cards.

Service: Quick and friendly Food: Espeto de Sardina - really tasty Haddock- typical cod fish Ensalada rusa - the usual Paella - ok,not the best but ok. Portion in the pic is for 1 person and it's quite a lot. Could use a bit more seafood Calamaritos a la plancha- super tasty, they have this little calcium thingy. Not idea how it's called. You are not supposed to eat it but it is full of calcium and gives them a little crunch 😊
