Got the bus to visit Málaga and just happened to visit this restaurant for breakfast.

We ordered a croissant with ham and cheese, a small toasted roll with tomato and oil and a small toasted roll with tortilla (potatoes and egg). For drinks a cafe con Leche and a coca coa. We all loved our dishes. All 5 stars. It was a perfect stop before exploring Málaga. The total was twelve euro fifty cents paid by bank card.

We found out before leaving that they did the menu del dia.

We arrived back for the menu del dia, twelve euros each not including the drinks. A tray of olives, a large bottle of water for 3 and a basket with fresh rolls were placed on the table. First course. We ordered one porra (cold tomato soup), one fidua (paella with pasta) and one pasta with turkey. Second course. We ordered one boquerones (anchovies) , one chicken with pepper sauce and one fish with salad. Desert. One custard, grandma cake and a coffee.

The menu was nice but not as good as the breakfast. The chips were soggy. The total was thirty seven euros and fifty cents...

When I read the reviews and the replies from the owner of this establishment, I thought it would be a nice and homely restaurant like many others i experienced in Spain. Unfortunately I was totally wrong.

Service The service here is extremely bad. Waiters don’t even bother to smile or show initiative. The waiter who took our order was decent but abrupt. The guy in black shirt (attached in photo) was the rudest person I have met. He not only banged the glass of water when serving it, but when asking and paying for the bill, he doesn’t even bother to look at you or thank you, it was a zero word transaction.

Food The food here is also pretty terrible, fortunately the dessert was tolerable. The beef balls from the menu of the day had bone chips and the fries were frozen fries that were drenched in oil.

I’m not sure the other reviews posted are real and I suspect they may have...

Sorry to say worse food I ve had in Malaga since arriving over a week ago. Slushy paella served followed by burnt dry chicken wings. Cheesecake included waitress hair on spoon free of charge! Bad atmosphere between staff - arguing with bar lady followed by further arguing with the cook. Must have put her in bad mood to serve up such poor food. Yes the menu of the day is 10 euros but it is no bargain based on what is served. Lucky for the guests that had reserved and didnt show up as tables still empty after one hour. Not a place for me. Much better a few doors down - better food and...
