Review for Lola - Hotel Only You Málaga
I regret to say that our experience at Lola - Hotel Only You Málaga for the New Year’s Eve dinner was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price of €350 per person.
Poor Service The service was unacceptably bad. We had to repeatedly ask for water when our glasses were empty, which completely disrupted the flow of the evening. For an event at this price point, attentive service should be a given, yet it was nowhere to be found.
Disappointing Food Quality The meals were overly salty, lacked creativity, and had poor composition. Each course felt rushed and uninspired, which was a letdown considering this was meant to be a special culinary experience to ring in the New Year.
Value for Money At €350 per person, we expected a high level of sophistication in both the service and the menu. Unfortunately, the event did not deliver on either front, leaving us feeling deeply disappointed and questioning the value of what we paid for.
Overall, this was a frustrating and underwhelming experience. For such a reputable venue, we expected far more professionalism and quality. I would not recommend booking this event in the future unless significant...
Read moreThe rooftop bar and Lola restaurant is excellent.
Lola’s restaurant is quiet not overcrowded and the food is tasty. I found the portion sizes fair but in the seafood noodles (very tasty indeed) could have been more for €17 - I like to see whole prawns and whole calamari.
The rooftop bar is a vibe - lovely background music ! You get the sun for ages till 8/9pm in June /July. They open late and everyone is easy going and the staff chill. The bartender was so sweet and gave my daughter extra corn nuts when we were sunbathing in the afternoon!
There was one petite lady at the rooftop bar tho who literally barked at us when we went up late to take on the views. She said the bar was closed, it wasn’t, as she served another guest. When we took in the view and proceeded to leave, she asked if I wanted to order a drink and explained she had said it was closed because she was on her own. She could have handled that better, it was embrassing!
Some pics - I have an old iPhone - the view is so much better...
Read moreMy recent visit to LOLA left me deeply disappointed. Beyond the culinary offerings, I encountered an atmosphere tainted by racism. As a patron, I expected respect and inclusivity, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The staff’s discriminatory behavior was evident, and it overshadowed any positive aspects of the dining experience. No one should feel unwelcome or targeted based on their identity. It’s essential for businesses to foster an environment of acceptance and understanding. I encourage LOLA to reflect on their actions and take steps toward positive change. As consumers, we have the power to support establishments that uphold values of equality and kindness. Let’s choose wisely and promote inclusivity in our community. Remember that your voice matters, and sharing your experience can contribute to...
