The Carmen Gay Bar — Restaurant in Málaga

The worst restaurant/bar we have ever eaten at. Everything about this restaurant was wrong. We first ordered a pitcher of sangria and not only did the waiter bring us water glasses while everyone else had wine glasses, but we even had to return the glasses to the waiter because they were incredibly dirty and scratched. It continued with the food when we ordered four different dishes. The swordfish did not look good on the plate at all, the salmon was noticeably undercooked and raw inside and it culminated with the Paellas, the waiter brought two Paellas and at first glance you could see that they were completely different, Paella is definitely not supposed to look like this. The rice was completely soaked in water and tasted really terrible, it looked bad at first glance. I honestly don't understand how the chef can let this out of the kitchen. Not to mention that the staff was arrogant and slowly won't even look at you when serving you. We didn't feel comfortable here at all and wanted to leave as soon as possible. This bar completely ruined our stay here. We do not recommend this bar, we will definitely not...

Great spot with good food and not a bad deal. But.. the young flamboyant waiter is a total airhead. I ordered the €15 deal with 5 tapas and a pitcher of beer and asked for the tapas menu so we could see what the choices were. I specifically asked if that's part of the deal, explicitly pointing to our pitcher of beer TWO TIMES while ordering the tapas. He says, "Yes, yes!" I order five tapas. He then proceeds to bring us TEN tapas (for 2 people at midnight no less) and theres no room left on the table. THAT REALLY EMBARRASSED THE GIRL I WAS WITH, not to mention doubling the bill. When I said woah woah thats a lot of food, he started blaming us and saying that earlier, when we walked by, he said that we dont get to choose our tapas (?) Earlier when we walked by... yeah.. My god, what a total fool of a waiter. Makes me feel a whole lot better about stupid moments I had when I was young. At least I had the sense to pick up on obvious things people...

Very bad service. Our server (Alain) was obviously very stressed but that is no reason to be as rude as he was. He walked away in the middle of a sentence as we were ordering and was not helpful whatsoever. We ordered tapwater and 2 “menú del dia”. As we were ordering the second menú del dia he just left mid sentence. When we went to ask him if we could finish our order he said no in a very rude way. So we got one of the menu del dia and no water. When we asked a simple question he lashed out at us even though we were being cooperative. Eventuelly his colleague came with the check and said that his boss (Alain) said that we could not order anymore. When Alain came back to let us pay he straight up ignored us when we asked why he was not letting us order.
