Really don’t understand the rating
I had no expectation that it would live up to good sushi or even authentic Japanese/Korean as I noticed most Asian restaurants in South of Spain focus on local taste which I really find unfortunate.
Considering the good rating, I thought to give it a try and I’m sorry to say..... the sushi and rolls are not representable and far from delicious. I do understand that the taste might be different as in less authentic but the cooking skills and the quality were very disappointing.
In my view, the food is prepared with no interest nor passion and the presentation doesn’t help either to be a little bit enthusiastic about it.
The service was fine and I quite like the old charming decor squeezed in ~14m2 space with a few bar seatings on the back. Very funny to see the Japanese toilet though. Didn’t expect to see it in Europe, even Okura hotels don’t have them
Nevertheless, price wise it reflects the quality, so I will...
Read moreI loved walking into this place, like a perfect hole in the wall. The waiter was very kind. The chef prepared the sushis in front of us in the kitchen, I was seated by the door so I could see her. First two bites were a-okay but then it tasted funny so I didn't finish it. Turns out, the fish in my roll wasn't fresh. Not all fresh, a cunning mix of both. I stayed 4 more days in Málaga with my bowels in pain then flew out. The pain increased each day so I sought medical advice and the doctor rushed me to the ER where I've just spent the night. Severe infection from contaminated fish. IVs for rehydration on the spot and painkillers. Now out with a prescription for 10 days of 2 courses of heavy duty antibiotics and a very strict diet to clean up my intestines of any residue. I highly recommend that this place gets a visit from the state inspection. It's...
Read moreGreat place Sushis are good, the fish fresh, the proportions of Rice and fish at about 1 Rice and 2 fish (same thing with the makis). The iced mochis to end with are just delightfull (a shame we had only 3 flavors to choose from, but normaly à lot more). On top of that the waitresses are rely Nice and smilling (seems to be a constant in Malaga). Only thing we can say is that the place is small (we were 4 groups of 2, and it was full) but at the same time it makes the room more cosy (beautifully decorated by the way) (to add to that, the sound isolation from the street is near perfect). You pay à bit above the average price for à malagan meal, but to be honest it is totally worth it (and still cheaper than the same quality food&sercice in any...
