Great place Sushis are good, the fish fresh, the proportions of Rice and fish at about 1 Rice and 2 fish (same thing with the makis). The iced mochis to end with are just delightfull (a shame we had only 3 flavors to choose from, but normaly à lot more). On top of that the waitresses are rely Nice and smilling (seems to be a constant in Malaga). Only thing we can say is that the place is small (we were 4 groups of 2, and it was full) but at the same time it makes the room more cosy (beautifully decorated by the way) (to add to that, the sound isolation from the street is near perfect). You pay à bit above the average price for à malagan meal, but to be honest it is totally worth it (and still cheaper than the same quality food&sercice in any restaurant in France)

Is just amazing, small little cozy place with small staff , just what they need , food in the other hand is tasty perfect .. no words is great fresh nigiri, sashimi , eel, butterfish, salmon , flame salmon, salmon eggs , we order some rolls they where big like super big they can't fit your mouth lol great price for the food they serve , the chicken pangko with the rice and spicy sweet chili sauce was well done and that white rice super tasty , had some sake, half bottle just for me, it gets you happy enough to finish dinner and enjoy the environment, chef is amazing to watch while he cooks for you in the bar if you prefer. I will 100% I recommend this ,is the second time I eat here and is my new corean and Japanese fave restaurant in malaga center

Fantastic food. In many places, ethnic food cooked with uncommon skill and passion is revered and celebrated. In Spain it’s mostly ignored but neighbors of Uri Sushi know this place is special. While I dined inside, dozens of people came by whisking away takeout orders. The sushi seems fine/good - as advertised - but the Korean dishes are magic. Kimchee Chigae was spicy and packed with flavor. The japchae perfectly blended sweet and savory (though the beef was a bit tough). The chicken katsu was simply awesome - I wouldn’t expect to find better anywhere else in Spain. They have a couple big tables, so arrive early, bring your friends, flip the menu to the Korean page, order everything, and be amazed. Service was a bit indifferent but whatever.

Really don’t understand the rating

I had no expectation that it would live up to good sushi or even authentic Japanese/Korean as I noticed most Asian restaurants in South of Spain focus on local taste which I really find unfortunate.

Considering the good rating, I thought to give it a try and I’m sorry to say..... the sushi and rolls are not representable and far from delicious. I do understand that the taste might be different as in less authentic but the cooking skills and the quality were very disappointing.

In my view, the food is prepared with no interest nor passion and the presentation doesn’t help either to be a little bit enthusiastic about it.

The service was fine and I quite like the old charming decor squeezed in ~14m2 space with a few bar seatings on the back. Very funny to see the Japanese toilet though. Didn’t expect to see it in Europe, even Okura hotels don’t have them

Nevertheless, price wise it reflects the quality, so I will...

I loved walking into this place, like a perfect hole in the wall. The waiter was very kind. The chef prepared the sushis in front of us in the kitchen, I was seated by the door so I could see her. First two bites were a-okay but then it tasted funny so I didn't finish it. Turns out, the fish in my roll wasn't fresh. Not all fresh, a cunning mix of both. I stayed 4 more days in Málaga with my bowels in pain then flew out. The pain increased each day so I sought medical advice and the doctor rushed me to the ER where I've just spent the night. Severe infection from contaminated fish. IVs for rehydration on the spot and painkillers. Now out with a prescription for 10 days of 2 courses of heavy duty antibiotics and a very strict diet to clean up my intestines of any residue. I highly recommend that this place gets a visit from the state inspection. It's...
