Black Label Urban Grill — Restaurant in Málaga

My wife and I visited this place just a few months after opening, and had a fantastic meal. We chatted with the owner, learned he was a Spaniard who'd taught himself BBQ, and we complimented him on the place and the food.

Fast forward a year later, and we had after four failed attempts to return (getting refused to be seated, told to make a reservation, told they don't accept reservations....), we finally managed to try it again. What a difference time makes! Our waiter was irritable and impatient, and our food took so long (more than an hour after we ordered it) that we had to cancel it! Luckily we had ordered an appetizer, and at least that had come in a reasonable time.

The waiter claimed that it was what we had ordered that took so long (a burger and ribs), but then we heard the kitchen arguing that he'd never put the order in despite the numerous times we asked and our clear indication that we had a limited time frame.

It's really too bad - the food looked good, after all, but a €50 lunch is about more than the food. After so many negative experiences, we won't be returning, nor...

We came here around 7:55pm. There was a line already outside. They opened later than 8pm. I think that's around 8:15pm already. Honestly at first we were thinking to leave the line and find another restaurant because they opened late. But then again, we also have to consider this is Spain not Germany hahaha!!! Also, we were weighing down our thoughts like "if there's a line here probably the food is really that good". So in other words, we were just mentally complaining about TIME but moved on and we sat down. We ordered Nachos, Spare ribs and BMB. The serving time was also long but the food was really WORTH THE WAIT. The spare ribs is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The serving was huge (because i'm Asian) I was surprised then I remembered...Americans and Europeans are huge hahaha!!! It was as huge as half of my arm for 18.5€. I was like wowww! The best and worth the money! Also, the staffs were warm or I think that's the owner or manager. He speaks English. He was funny and friendly.

To summarize with, I recommend eating here. The price is VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY HAHA and REALLY...

A truly disappointing experience.

We waited over an hour for someone to take our order, even though the place wasn’t busy. Only one young waitress, clearly overwhelmed, was serving all the tables, while the rest of the staff. who were obviously doing nothing productive, simply barked orders at her.

The woman behind the bar, who was supposedly in charge, didn’t move. A man at the entrance just stood there watching the Semana Santa processions, and the cooks and other employees lingered around the bar without helping at all.

To top it off, they got our order wrong, and by the end of the night we had to get up and go pay at the counter after waiting another 30 minutes with no one coming over.

Terrible service, zero organization, and one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in Málaga. We do not recommend this...
