Cuco's — Restaurant in Madrid

We had a breakfast here some weeks ago and honestly, it would be better if we went to another place.

I liked that there was a big range of meals, could choose whatever we wanted. And the staff was pretty nice as well. These are the advantages!

But the food was awful :( Spanish omelette was cold like it was served from a fridge. Sausages were so oily that I had a stomachache later, same happened to my friend actually, she had a breakfast with eggs and bacon. It wasn’t the worst though, that’s why there is 3 stars and not 1.

So maybe they have good lunches but the breakfast was bad.

Besides, the staff doesn’t know English, only my little...

Vorweg: Mein Schwiegervater war hier Stammgast. Als wir um 12:30h etwas trinken möchten und das Restaurant quasi leer ist, werden wir von der Bedienung weggeschickt. Weil eine Stunde später ein Tisch für 40 Leute reserviert ist. Wir haben uns laut darüber beschwert, dass man hier scheinbar aufs Geschäft verzichten kann. Das hat der andere Kellner auch kommentiert, und zwar so, dass man sich keine Sorgen machen müsse, da das Restaurant jeden Tag voll sei. Am Ende würden wir bedient, aber so ein Verhalten ist für mich unerklärlich. Andere Bars, Cafés und Restaurants freuen sich über Kundschaft. Gegessen haben wir heute nichts, daher kann ich das nicht beurteilen. Edit: Die Kellnerin kommt nochmal zu uns an den Tisch um sich vermeintlich zu entschuldigen. Am Ende ist es eine Beschuldigung, dass wir sie alle falsch verstanden haben. Diese Person ist nicht für den Kundenservice geeignet und sollte besser im verborgenen Bereich ohne Kundenkontakt...

Un desastre. Somos clientes de muchos años, y el año pasado en verano, estando casi vacío nos quisieron poner en la terraza al lado de un cristal que desprendía mucho calor, y nos dijeron que no nos podían sentar en otra mesa porque era para más personas. Esto nos extrañó, porque siempre nos habían sentado sin problemas y habían sido muy amables. Por eso ya no volvimos, pero hoy hemos decidido volver a tomar un aperitivo a las 12,30 de la mañana, y estando toda la terraza vacía, la misma empleada, nos vuelve a decir que una parte estaba reservada a las 13'15 y que el resto era para comidas, pero estaba totalmente vacio. Nos ha vuelto a sorprender, al final nos han sentado, pero muy a disgusto. Después de haber desayunado muchas veces de forma habitual, haber comido también muchas veces y cenado otras tantas porque el servicio era muy amable y bueno, dejaremos...
