Maillard's gives you a choice of a beef or chicken patty (who likes minced unbreaded chicken), but the person behind the counter forgot to ask which I wanted and my order came out as minced chicken which I hate. I did forget to specify that I wanted beef, but surely that's the default and not minced chicken. Also, if you're going to ask me what sauce I would like, or if I want fries, then maybe ask me whether I want beef mince or chicken mince. Even if I could forgive that, the burger was poorly put together. Yes, it is a smash burger, so it will be thinner and wider, but it was far too big for the bun. This burger shop has potential but sadly they miss the mark on several things.

I ordered the simple smash burger which comes with cheese, pickles and a sauce of your choosing and it was very disappointing, the burger thickness was extremely thin beyond what a smash burger is supposed to be and with the bread they use it was simply absolutely lost in dryness.

They need to increase the weight of the burgers and use thinner potato rolls because it’s totally unbalanced and by the end of eating you feel like you ate only bread.

It is great that there is a smash burger in Madrid now, but comparing to others that has to be improved. There are a few things worth upgrading: 1) meat is way too thin and lacks moisture. There should be a balance of sauce and crust in a proper smash 2) potato chips lacks salt and other improvements like extra crust. Too cheap and not too fancy 3) sauce is a plastic bag of 5g cheap ketchup. Are you kidding? Did you try to open that at all? No other dipping sauce options 4) way too many unnecessary toppings that I had to choose.
