It was a traditional Spanish bar focused on snacks and drinks with decent lunch options, good quality and affordable prices that changed to chinese owners in 2018 trying to not change anything.

Since then the average quality has lowered but it's not a bad option for snacks or some drinks with friends and family. It's another bar in the neighborhood that doesn't excel or stands out among the surrounding bars.

Salíamos del museo del Ferrocarril. Teníamos intención de ir a picar algo a uno de esos bares típicos de barrio y Justo enfrente vimos la Taberna la Pepa. Había mucha gente, la camarera estaba hablando con los que parecían clientes habituales. Nos preguntó si queríamos una mesa para comer y enseguida nos atendió. Nos entrega la carta y a pesar de ser gestionado por una pareja asiática mantienen la carta con productos típicos de la tierra y algo más. Sencillo, tapas, bocadillos,chorizo y salchichón ibérico muy bueno, queso ,morcilla y otras variedades. Te sirven la cerveza, vino o refresco con una tapa y sus platos combinados están muy bien. Sin olvidar que es un estilo de bar de barrio donde puedes ir de paso o frecuentemente no está nada mal. Son atentos y amables. El local tiene aire acondicionado y se está fresquito y tranquilo. Observamos cómo algunos clientes se despedían de la camarera al irse de vacaciones, lo cual dice mucho de ellos. Un lugar sencillo, donde picar o tomar algo...

Disgusting. Everything is frozen, they don't bother to even add salt. The croquetas were bought from, probably, a Chinese supermarket. Chinese owners who try to make money without even considering what is food. This is a joke and I hope it closes ASAP. It's an insult to Spanish food, people...
