1 star because Google does not have 0 stars. I went here as I was staying nearby and the reviews were very good. I have to say after this experience that the reviews were either way too generous or by people who have never experienced real Indian food or hospitality. We tried the set menu del día. After paying €30+ for 3 people, the least I expect is a smile, courteous behaviour and a general feeling of being welcome. We were the only people eating there on a Friday afternoon and the person serving us had a sour expression the entire 1 hour we sat eating. Any question was met with a curt answer and/or complete indifference. As you can see I have not even mentioned the food or its quality yet as that became secondary (in short, it was greasy, and all 3 dishes tasted almost the same).
I have been to many Indian restaurants across the world and I have never been treated like this. Calling it an "Indian" eatery is a joke.
ps: it was Friday afternoon, there were Islamic prayers/hymns being played over the speakers at a very loud volume. I am all about treating religious sentiments with respect but this should not be at the expense of the peace-of-mind of the customer trying to enjoy...
Read moreOkay food (if you don't know what authentic Indian food should taste like) but ridiculously overpriced. We ordered green tea, he brought a tea bag that was obviously from Lidl (where a whole pack costs 60 cents) and charged us 4 EUR for it - even though the price wasn't even listed on the menu. Generally outside they lure you in with completely different prices, on the menu everything costs significantly more than is listed outside. 5 EUR for a tiny portion of "pineapple rice" which I'm pretty sure is just canned chunks of pineapple in steamed rice. Very shady practices for an establishment that depends upon customer...
