EXTREMELY SALTY and fishy - AVOID this place especially if you are a tourist with foreign taste, unless you like salt with a side of unfresh seafood! We ordered the Valencian paella, black rice, and noodle style dish. It was the saltiest meal I have eaten in my life and it was a struggle to eat for me and my family. I have eaten plenty of Spanish and Valencian foods and paellas all across Spain and Portugal and none have ever come close to the amount of salt in this dish. As the oil and water evaporated on the pan, you could literally see salt crystals left behind. The octopus in the dishes had a strange smell and was very rubbery. As a student doctor, consuming this amount of salt is extremely unhealthy and can lead to hypertension and renal issues as well as tasting horrible. I have no idea why this restaurant claims in other reviews that extremely excessive salt is "traditional" - certainly other authentic paellas which I have eaten are nowhere near...

Looking for paella in Madrid? I gotchu! 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Say hello to Paellitas, where you can order paella for just one person — practically unheard of in Spain!

I love a short, curated menu and Paellitas delivers: they have just a handful of starters and then 8 types of rices, including fideuá, arroz a banda, veggie options, and of course, paella valenciana. 🥘

WE TRIED 👇 ✨Ensaladilla rusa (8,50€) ✨Arroz negro (14,90€) - shrimp, cuttlefish, squid & squid ink ✨Paella valenciana (15,50€) - chicken, rabbit, green beans & garrofón beans ✨Lemon pie (5,90€) ✨White & rosé wines from Valencia (3,50€)

OF NOTE 👇 🍽️ Menú del día! 13,90€ gets you an individual paella, drink, bread & dessert or coffee (+3€ if you want a starter) 🏖️...

Definitely the service is the best asset to the place. I would also mention as good assets: Socarrat (those who complain about it have no idea about paellas) Kitchen opens early Variety of paellas Areas for improvement: Only one type of beer Quality of ingredients Less oil in the rice Maybe more rice since plenty of people mentioned this. Ah! To make my reservation I had to call the restaurant in San German since the phone at this location was off the hook.
