Restaurante El Montero de Cazorla Ventas — Restaurant in Madrid

I landed on this place walking around looking for something to eat. Upon entering, it had this really nice neighborly vibe. I noticed throughout my time there that there were a lot of regulars coming in and out. To this end, the staff was super friendly, courteous, attentive and responsive! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food as much. I never had lamb sweetbread before and was trying it for the first time (I feel like I need to give that disclaimer) — while it was super flavorful, I was not a fan of the texture/consistency. The bread on the table was very good. The seafood soup was freshly prepared and required a 25-minute wait. I was not a fan of the soup flavor but enjoyed all of the actual seafood in it. There was nothing exception about the eggs & potatoes. All in all, I do think this is a great place. I would order differently...

Spanish through and through in the decoration, the dishes, the location, and the atmosphere. Close to the Madrid bull ring, but out of the way from the typical tourist trails, so a place where the locals go. Extensive menu of tapas, fish and meat dishes. The scrambled eggs with asparagus and spring garlic was really good. It is not cheap, but the portions are quite generous so careful not to order too much . Quiero dejar claro ante todo que primero, voy hablar del Montero de Cazorla de la calle cipriano sancho.,y despues que somos asiduos clientes desde hace muchos años hasta ayer. Dia 23. El. Dia 3 diciembre hicimos una reserva por teléfono para comer mi pareja y yo el dia de Navidad, en ese mismo momento nos confirman via email la reserva a las 15.00 horas. Mas trde nos llega otro correo diciemdo que nos cambian la hora a las 15.30 a lo que nostros no ponemos pega alguna y cual es nuestra sorpresa que ayer dia 23 de diciembre por la trde /noche nos llaman diciendo que nos vuelven a cambiar a las 14,00 de la trde la. Mesa por problemas de aforo y que ademas hicimos la reserva a traves de una empresa que ellos tienen y que no funciona muy bien. Nos acercamos ayer al restaurante ya que vivimos a escasos 500 metros para aclarar esto. Nos tomamos un vino esperando que alguien nos dijera algo respecto a la reserva... Nos tomamos dos vinos y seguimos esperando, cuando ya preguntamos que si alguien nos iba a decir algo viene el encargado o lo que sea, ya le conocemos de las muchas veces que hemos comido alli en familia, con explicaciones chulescas nos dice prácticamente que ellos no tienen la culpa de que la app no funcione bien, a mi me da igual pero los perjudicados somos nstros que habiendo hecho todo bien nos quedamos sin comida de Navidad por vuestra mala gestion y sobre todo por ser 0 empaticos con el cliente. No volveremos nunca mas y lo contare para que sepan lo que nos paso en fechas tan señaladas. Esto no se hace, y de nada vale ya que el mismo dia 24 quieran arreglar lo que ya no tenia arreglo..........
