Not sure who does the ratings but this is a 3-star hotel. Overall I would say my hotel stay was a 3.5

Hotel was conveniently located close to the Metro and easy to navigate.  It is three different metro lines from the airport. Hotel staff was pleasant and friendly and front desk was truly the standout of the hotel.

What you get is a clean yet very bare bones room.

There are no carpets or rugs. In a single large bedroom - you do get a couch.  TV is nice size for the room but not very English friendly as I could find only 1 "English speaking" channel later at night, no news.

Because the weather was up and down, yet relatively mild, they had turned off both heat and air and invite you to open hotel windows (2); which was sufficient. Due to location of room couldn't keep my windows open overnight but the room had chilled enough to a comfortable level to sleep.

Bed was comfortable and both sides had two pillows each. There is a small table and chair with two small side tables and pendent lighting - overall lighting was sufficient.

There is a kettle that was clean and a mini fridge but no mini bar. Room had four hangers and a small room safe. No slippers, no robe, and no iron/board to be found.

Bathroom is decent size with a makeup mirror and light - that's placed well of you're 182cm (5'8") otherwise the light has to face down on you and you couldn't bring near you and light didn't work. Bathroom had pump body gel and a pump shampoo in shower with bar soap at sink - no other amenities. The warming towel bar did not work. Water pressure was solid and temperature was consistent from removable hand-held spray.

Breakfast was typical Europe offering but I would not say it was plentiful.

Wi-Fi was consistent for me and would randomly disconnect.

Good for a single night - if returning to the area I would look for a different hotel since I prefer my room to have better room amenities.

Alfonso and Celia deserve 5 stars! They are friendly, helpful, patient, and professional! They both speak English very well. Alfonso was very nice to give us some recommendations in the area. The young lady who works at night could (and should) learn a lot from Alfonso and Celia about customer service and professionalism.

Pros: -The hotel is very nice and clean. The room was comfortable. It had AC. It was quiet. -It has a small, but clean, gym. -The hotel seems to be in a good location. -They have a parking garage, but it was an additional $26 for only one night. -It is a short walk from a beautiful bull fighting arena. Plaza de Toros -There’s a nice cafe across the street called Santa Gloria. It was some of the best coffee and cappuccinos we’ve ever had. -There’s a cute restaurant across the way called London Grill. The owner was very personable. They have a big menu and the chicken was good.

Cons: -We were NEVER able to connect to the “free wifi.” We tried multiple times, but it would not connect. -in the middle of the night, the TV came on by itself and awakened both of us. -Expensive parking (€23/night) (This would be a reasonable price if you weren’t already paying €185+ for the room alone.) -Expensive breakfast (€18/person) We didn’t eat breakfast there due to the additional cost.

Overall, it was a nice stay. We recommend this hotel and would stay...
