El Pi Torrador Grill (Portocristo) — Restaurant in Manacor

This is a local place for sure and the food is just ok. Nothing special. But what really irks me about this place is how unfriendly they are. Twice I've just sat there and no one came to serve me. And twice I've gone in to ask for a table, and even tho the place was practically empty, they waved me away tersely saying they had too many reservations. And I speak Spanish. I sort of get the feeling they are not that fond of tourists. If it's local you want, there is a better option just up the stairs...

The hamburger was precooked, had gristle, the bread was hard and it was generally not good. The squid was decent but cold. The lasagna was burnt and they lopped some bechamel on top to camouflage it. The waiter grabbed our glasses by the rims, where our mouths go to drink, to make space, which I dislike very much. They started taking plates away just as they were asking us without waiting for a response. It was a good atmosphere but it was stressful whenever the waitstaff...

Croquetas congeladas, chipirones refritos muy aceitosos y regusto raro, para comer un escalope rancio con patatas congeladas, por suerte la niña no quiso comer, un entrecote descongelado con la carne tan blanca que parecía cerdo, un chuletón extremadamente pasado y por su puesto las patatas fritas congeladas para hacer juego con el resto de la comida, más de 100€ para comer 2 adultos y un menor, no quisimos postre ni café por si seguía la misma línea. Cuando nos preguntan por la comida y comentamos que la carne estaba en mal estado, nos dicen que la han probado (quedaron los platos casi llenos) y está bien, la camarera que es honrada me reconoce que no debimos pedir carne rebozada, se la notaba avergonzada a la pobre. El servicio con buena intención, pero no estaba a la altura de los precios.

Un desastre, no puedo recomendar lugares que sirven alimentos e mal estado, esto debería estar regulado por alguna ley, espero que les venga una inspección y les cierren el negocio para que no puedan seguir estafando a más...
