I went to this restaurant for the first, and trust me LAST time, with my husband and family this week. I was all excited about the views when we got there, and wanted to take a photo of the 2 of us whilst we were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive. I asked a waitress to take a quick photo..she said ‘oh no no I’m busy I don’t have the time for that’. Well I was taken aback and thought she could have turned us down a bit better? but I just thought well fair enough, even though rude, she’s not obliged to.
Our family joined us and we told them about our earlier experience but we all shrugged it off. We placed our orders with a different waitress and food was brought back by the first waitress, who brought the wrong order for me and was not impressed when I explained that I had ordered a different meal to what she had brought. When she brought back the correct order, she literally plonked it down on the table..I’m not exaggerating..she nearly spilled my meal in the process..like threw it down, no joking. She didn’t say a word..plonked it down and went. My husband had had enough and we made a complaint.
I’m not one to play the race card, but at that point I felt I was being singled out..as I was the only one black. Might not have been the case, but that’s how I felt in the end. Even though the views are nice..I would not recommend the place due to the nastiness of the staff. Sorry for the...
Read moreTwo stars because of the view and my meal. We were staying for several days at Porto Cristo and tried very different restaurants and Delhis around the area and sadly, this one was by far the worst experience. We ordered drinks and a Cordonbleau for me and the Shrimps for my wife. The Shrimps looked good but were full of sand and pretty dirty. After I (very friendly) complained about the food, the boss came and she immediately offered to bring us a new menu and the Shrimps were on the house. So far, so good...The dilemma started afterwards as my wife just wanted some bread and Aioli and almost instantly were treated like air. I mean, we thought: sure, the view is nice, let's have some additional drinks. But we were constantly ignored and felt like a nuisance because a huge group next to us was serviced without problems. After 15-20 minutes of no service we paid the drinks and my food and even after we pointed out the fact, that we were prepared to drink some more, the waitress just shrugged it off. I'm not the guy to complain about anything or to search for the hair in the soup but this was a really sad display of hospitality. We seem to have to crossed an invisible line where we were no longer profitable. I also gave no tip, which to me is a big no go and I'm very sorry for that but this was the one bad experience in Porto Cristo. Everything...
Read moreNot recommendable!
The restaurant is well located with a beautiful view of Porto Cristo. Unfortunately, that's all. The staff contributes significantly to the atmosphere of the place, so it only remains a bad rating.
The staff seems exhausted and not really interested in the work - it's a shame because the restaurant initially makes a good impression.
We were greeted with the words that the restaurant was about to close and we should hurry up with our order. I went inside to place the order, unfortunately we have been told that not everything was available - why not in the beginning?!
After about 5 minutes we decided on a dish. The waitress just said that the kitchen was now permanently closed - just unfriendly, disgusting people, compared to the service in other restaurants, this service is just bad.
Sangria also didn't taste well prepared and tasted...
