Il Purista — Restaurant in Manacor

We decided to eat here after reading the excellent reviews,we arrived at 8.30pm on the Tuesday to be told they were too busy and we could book for the next night which we did Wednesday night at 8:30 on arrival there was no record of our booking and no tables available also two people waiting before us, they managed to put another table on the roadside , we ordered the drinks a glass of red wine €5.90 and the water the water was clearly tapwater as the seal was already broken and the bottom of the seal had been removed , that’s fine but don’t try and charge €5.90 for it !!!! ,the margarita and salami pizzas were ok,but the service and bookings were disappointing and disjointed and then it came to paying he asked us cash or card so we paid cash the bill came to €34.60 I gave €40 and this is the first time this has ever happened to me He asked me how much change I wanted back !!!! ,The other criticism we had was the road was very busy with cars and scooters feet from your table .so if your happy to be ripped off €5.90 for warm tap water and breathe in exhausts fumes along with your pizza it’s the place for you. very...

I visited Porto Cristo on my own at the beginning of June and ate at this restaurant on the back of so many positive reviews. On a Tuesday evening in June, the restaurant was packed and it was a struggle to fit me in, but nothing was too much trouble and as long as I was prepared to wait a little for room in the pizza oven to cook my order , all was ok. The pizza was incredible and I vowed to ensure I brought the rest of the family to eat here when I returned in August. And that is what I did. I had told them it would be the best pizza they had ever eaten. I’m not sure they believed me but we made the booking for a Saturday night in August. And wow! From the moment the bruschetta arrived they realised they were in for a treat. Excellent service. We knew not to expect great views…..that wasn’t what we came for. The pizzas were to die for. The pizzas are very nice, I prefer pizzas with more ingredients in them and more intense flavor but these were refreshing, the dough with the traditional oven flavor gives it a special and delicious taste, and the tomato sauce is very savory, the tomatoes are very present and taste homemade, last but not least the service by the lady that waits the tables (I am sorry I didn’t ask your name) she was ABSOLUTELY wonderful she gave us an excellent service and attention always with a smile and trying to always make us comfortable. We also tried a garlic butter they had and MAN they should package and sell it because it was SO GOOD, as a bonus I dipped the crust borders in it and it was perfect!
