Rose & Thistle — Restaurant in Manilva

We had booked for xmas lunch and although not feeling too well, we decided to attend and we were not disappointed. The food was fabulous and tasty, just a little too much for our small stomachs lol. The two waitresses were fabulous and couldnt do enough, keeping their eyes on everything that was happening and serving the next course when appropriate. Found here on the1st day of our 3 months in the area & it quickly became our go to place for great food, beer and atmosphere.

Food is excellent and Sunday lunch is a stand out, but book... it gets busy, it also does sometimes have great entertainment on from late Sunday afternoon (normally).

Team were fab Si, Holly & Charlie along with the other young lady who' s name escapes me, they are accommodating and were a great help in our early days there.

Definitely worth a visit, you won't be...

Gave 3 stars as I would consider the food to be pretty average. We went on a Sunday so had the roast. It was OK once covered in gravy but most things seemed a bit burnt - the roasties, the yorkshire pudding and even the roasted carrot which was black at the bottom. Having said that, I think it might have just been an off day and would definitely give them a 2nd chance.
