The first night I had a whole turbot (700gms). Baked in a traditional skillet with potatoes, clams, mussels and red peppers, in a light unctuous sauce. Jassi presented my fish and expertly deboned the fish for me. My partner had pork medallions with a mushroom sauce. The second night I had the grilled swordfish. Tender and sweet it fell apart and melted in my mouth. My partner had the grilled chicken with peppercorn sauce.The portions are huge and such great value. The restaurant is welcoming. The staff are attentive but unobtrusive. The atmosphere cool and comfortable. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. I'm coming back to Duquesa next year and I'm eating here every night. I told the waiter I have a garlic allergy. He brought my fish out, which I was sharing, it was meant to be a large fish fir 2 people, but there was only enough for one person. The fish arrived floating in garlic oil. The annoying part fir me was, the waiter argued, and tried to convince me the fish had no garlic. He then came back from the kitchen saying "the Chef did not use Garlic, only garlic oil" as if that was okay. 🤷♀️. He went off to get me a grilled Sea bream, which again, I asked for it to be served plane. The fish arrived, bass not bream 🤦♀️ with traces of garlic oil and parsley, horrible soggy wet veg. I could not eat the food.
The restaurant charged the full price for the turbot, so my friend had a huge bill. Not right. They thought they did me a favour by not charging for the 2nd fish I returned 🤷♀️
