VEGANS and LACTOSE INTOLERANTS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Misleading advertising and inaccurate labeling! I had a very upsetting experience at that place!
I went there with my partner, and we ordered at the counter. There were two workers at the time, a female and a male. I ordered a burger called LA VEGANA. Its name indicates all the ingredients should not contain any animal products. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and they do not inform you about it anywhere either. Here is what the menu says: Beyond burger, queso vegano, lechuga, tomate, cebolla y pepinillo. Ketchup y mostaza. Beyond burger, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and gherkin. Ketchup and mustard. - It doesn’t mention the bread though…
The brioche bread bun that is used as the default in the burgers, including LA VEGANA, is NOT VEGAN. As a lactose intolerant person, diagnosed 15 years ago, I was sick with a very painful and upset stomach for two days after eating LA VEGANA burger, and had to take time off work to recover. I gave them the benefit of the doubt; anyone can make a mistake. So about a week after the incident, my partner and I were in the area, and we went in to ask. There was the same male worker at the time. I spoke to him in Spanish to avoid any misunderstandings on either side (I am fluent in Spanish). I asked politely if the bread in the burger called LA VEGANA is, in fact, vegan. The answer was NO, it is not vegan. It is brioche (brioche contains milk, eggs, and butter). I asked politely why there is a non-vegan component in a burger called VEGAN, and the response was, "because the burger patty and the cheese are vegan." I told him that this was incorrect usage and I wish I had been warned before my body was harmed. I suggested politely that they should either change the bread they use for that burger - to which his response was, "our gluten-free bread is vegan" - or change the name of that burger, as it’s very misleading and can cause more harm to more people.
Needless to say, we are not going back there, and I don’t think anyone should. If they don’t care about harming people this way, what else do they not care about, and what standards...

Una experiencia lamentable e inaceptable

Anoche cenamos en este restaurante y lo que debía ser una velada agradable se convirtió en una auténtica pesadilla: encontramos una cucaracha en el plato.

Lo peor no fue solo el asqueroso hallazgo, sino la reacción de la encargada, que en lugar de disculparse y solucionar el problema, se dedicó a justificar lo injustificable.

Según ella, era algo “normal” e “inevitable” porque las cucarachas venían del trastero donde almacenan la comida. Además, tuvo la desfachatez de minimizar el problema asegurando que no nos pondríamos malas por eso. Cada palabra que decía era más increíble que la anterior, dejando claro que la higiene y la seguridad alimentaria no son una prioridad aquí.

Para colmo, en lugar de asumir la responsabilidad, intentó disuadirnos de poner una hoja de reclamaciones a cambio de no cobrarnos la cena. Una actitud absolutamente reprochable e impropia de cualquier establecimiento de hostelería.

Este restaurante no solo carece de limpieza, sino también de ética profesional. Espero sinceramente que las autoridades sanitarias actúen pronto para evitar que otros clientes pasen por una experiencia similar. No volveré y, por supuesto, no lo recomiendo bajo ninguna...
