Me and my family came across this restaurant by coincidence approximately back in 2018, and have been loyal customers ever since. We first dined at “La Plage Casanis” and have not stopped going to all branches from that point on. We spend our whole summer in Marbella every year, and have to dine in one of the branches at least once every 1-2 weeks; otherwise, we would have to take the people we recommend it to (all the way from back home) every time we get the chance to do so. Absolutely loved this place, the food, the ambience, the staff. Always a refreshing experience, super friendly, warm, and we always leave perfectly satisfied.

This impression, of course, was until yesterday. Appalled and disgusted is an understatement. I can easily say that not I, nor my family and friends will EVER be coming to any of the Casanis branches ever again and I will make sure to post this everywhere. We went to the Casanis Restaurant in Old Town Marbella, only to be treated with such a horrendous host named Jorge, who had such a disgusting attitude towards us, including my grandmother - an OLD DISABLED LADY ON A WHEEL CHAIR - my mother and family as well. If 0 act of kindness and RESPECT cannot be shown to ATLEAST an OLD DISABLED WOMAN ON A WHEELCHAIR, then you cant imagine the rude attitude, disrespect and disgusting, unprofessional treatment we all received. We were literally thrown inside, in a very small table in a tight area, where the waiters needed to pass, and were told we could only sit on one side of this table. We were quite literally moving the chairs our selves while being yelled at. Of course, this was after assertively and aggressively telling us multiple times that “ALL other tables are completely fully booked, there is no room for you whatsoever, you either take this table or you leave, I cannot help you” … Only to find out that a friend of ours came a few minutes after us, sat at a table outside, WITHOUT reservation the same time we were dining there.

Manager Christian was able to slightly quiet down the argument, however, he did not allow us to speak of our complain freely, nor did he show proper hospitality after the rude encounter/problem. This is as much as I can brief about our experience, but I have plenty more to say about what happened, should the company even try to contact me personally.

I have traveled all around the world with my grandmother and believe me when I say we have never been treated so lowly and so disgustingly ever.

As always the waiters were very friendly, and extremely kind, especially after realizing the nasty attitude and treatment...

Beautiful food, even more beautiful setting.

Casanis was recommended by a colleague and we visited on our trip with two close friends. It was relatively easy to book a table and they kindly accommodated us being slightly late due to road closures getting into old town.

We had decent hopes for the food but just wanted a nice atmosphere and a chilled meal in old town, safe to say we were blown away.

The wine list was superb and not too overly pricey, with good wines from most countries available for all price ranges.

With the mixed heritage the menu can come across odd at first with a range of dishes from Vietnamese spring rolls to beef wellington and entrecôte, however everything we tried was sublime and they nailed the execution.

Three of our party opted for beef wellington, with myself wanting a more traditional ‘steak frites’ type meal, getting the entrecôte with peppercorn sauce.

The spring rolls were a refreshing surprise, served with lettuce leaves to roll them in and a sauce which I still can’t put my finger on! We also sampled the prawn and scampi croquettes which were equally brilliant.

The wellington was cooked perfectly and came with potato and vegetables included. Leaving little need for extra spent on sides. The entrecôte was incredible (I had it rare) and a far thicker & tender cut than I had expected for just €30, again this came with fries included and salad, meaning no further spend on sides either.

What really rounded the meal off as a night to remember was the service and atmosphere. Despite being a very busy night, we were not left waiting and the waiter always made sure to top our wine up right on cue so we weren’t to pour it ourselves. The setting is magical, especially on a hot evening as the sun is setting, I would recommend arriving before sunset to appreciate how the ambience improves as the night begins.

Overall 10/10 one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to, and one that doesn’t feel at...

Quite disappointed. Very expensive for what you get. Too expensive for what it is.

The fois gras was not good. The bread was burned but good and The fig jam but tasteless fois gras and almost frozen! Not worth it.

The other dishes where not impressive and very standard. Around this area there are better places.

I dropped my fork and none of the 2 waiters picked it up or gave me a new one even though they noticed it and on purpose I didn’t pick it up. This says a lot about a restaurant.

The toilets where dirty and smelly. So horrible.

We where first denied a table because we only wanted starters. They said we needed to buy a full dinner to sit. 1 hour later we came back and was seated at one table where we couldn’t sit because there where no room as there is very little space. Then we where seated at another. 5min later we where asked to move again!! Not okay but we did.

They didn’t have 30% of what we wanted on the menu. Sold out or not possible they said. They only had a special menu this night so normal cocktails where not possible.

All the dishes that normally is without milk products other places are all with milk products here. And I’m allergic. So only 2 dishes available.

The interior is nice and cozy but too many people in too little space. When I leaned back in my chair I leaned up against another guests back! Not so cozy.

The waiter was kind enough but I was not impressed after all we went through.

Lastly I paid the bill but saw after we left that I paid for bread I never had!! So I feel cheated for our time and money for being there.

It looks pretty on the outside. But it’s a business and the quality is not worth it. I’m sorry but I am...

Far too expensive for what is offered and because of this I wouldn’t recommend it to others - a beautiful setting, but pretty average food. This was a comment I heard from tables all around me - A few people were disappointed and a couple next to us who had been before said that it used to be good food and fairer priced. It’s a shame that we came and left bitter because the bill was outrageous and frankly not worth it. I would have paid half of what I did. Bread was brought to the table without asking and then charged. €144 for a meal without a bottle of wine, two mains and two starters is ridiculous. Coming from London and my partner is a chef we were both very very disappointed. Save your money and don’t waste it here - there are lovely restaurants all around this place that don’t overcharge and full of locals so clearly they know where to go!

Lovely dining experience! We had a wonderful experience at Casanis. Let's start with the ambiance. They are located in this adorable street with white washed houses, with outside sitting surrounded by flowers. The menu is not extravagant in choice but it has a good variety in sea food, meat and more. The food was really good. We were in 3 and among us we had tomato salad, oysters, prawns for appitizers, followed by the tuna and duck as entrées. It was spectacular. The service right au par with the rest. As Spanish is not our first (nor second) language, our waiters spoke English, Itália and Portuguese. It is not cheap, but if you can afford it, go for it. When you make a reservation, the table is yours for 2 hours. In my opinion, it was the one of the best meals in our trip.
