CINQ Marbella — Restaurant in Marbella

Recently opened in the prime location previously situated on the same site as Pan & Marmalade, this new dining spot welcomes guests with open arms, thanks to its friendly and dedicated staff, alongside a beautifully designed interior.

Despite visiting on a Friday, which we anticipated would be bustling, the crowd was lighter than expected with just a few tables occupied. This quietness, rather than detracting, suggests a hidden gem that's just waiting to be discovered by more diners.

Kicking off our evening with a round of well-crafted cocktails, we were impressed by the exceptional service. Our servers were not only attentive but also went above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable.

For starters, we opted for the scallops and tomato. While the dishes were nicely flavoured, we felt they could be elevated further to match the restaurant's innovative potential.

My choice of duck l'orange, though not quite hitting the mark on the expected citrus note and tenderness found the meat to be very overdone and dry, and my wife's steak which was satisfactory, suggests there's room for the culinary team to refine their craft.

We rounded off our meal with a chocolate mousse and shortbread biscuit, which were pleasant.

In essence, this restaurant stands out for its ambience and service. While the current culinary offerings may not yet reach their full potential, given the restaurant's recent opening and the glowing reviews from others, it's plausible we simply encountered an off night. We had a really enjoyable dinner at Cinq. We were warmly greeted on arrival by GiGi, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the meal. The set menus were great value with plenty of choice. All 3 courses we tried were delicious, beautifully presented, good quality ingredients cooked well, and generous portions. There was plenty of convenient free parking outside the restaurant. The decor is fresh and stylish, but best of all the vibe was really relaxed due to the friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent quality and superb value. The newly-launched Cinq was recommended by friends and we had a superb evening meal. We liked the simplicity of the menu, which covered the French bistrot classics you’d expect. My wife and I both started with the scallops, which were cooked perfectly and were a delight. Between us we then had the Canard and the lamb, both of which were classically prepared and beautifully cooked. Then followed crème brûlée and chocolate mousse which also did not disappoint!
