I recently had the misfortune of dining at CIBO, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment lacks any sense of care or professionalism. To start, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed completely uninterested in their roles, barely acknowledging customers and certainly not offering a smile or any semblance of warmth. It felt as though they were doing us a favor by simply being there. This lack of attentiveness set the tone for the entire meal.
The atmosphere—or rather, the lack of it—was equally uninspiring. To make matters worse, the choice of music was dreadful: American, mismatched, 80s and 90s style: entirely out of place for a dining setting. Including even a TV on the wall showing a British film - in an Italian restaurant! It was more of a distraction than an enhancement.
Then came the food, which was perhaps the biggest letdown of all. The menu offered little variety, and what we did order was poorly prepared and utterly forgettable. The calamari is deep fried to a crust and tasteless. We asked for garlic butter to go with the langoustines: we received cold pieces of garlic butter, which the waiter even said afterward that they keep it cold in order to use it for other customers! Bland flavors overall, questionable textures, and an overall lack of quality made it clear that no passion or skill went into the cooking.
All in all, the only good thing I can recall is the wine we ordered and the olive oil (we had to ask for). CIBO Trattoria is a masterclass in how not to run a dining establishment. With disinterested staff, terrible music, mediocre food, and zero atmosphere, there is absolutely no reason to return—or recommend it to anyone else. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a meal...
Read moreNew waiter and very abrupt but we put that down to nerves. However one hand didn't know what the other one was doing. My daughter is celiac and it advertised gluten free dishes, was highly recommended so we went but we're disappointed. We informed them upon arrival and then they brought us normal bread so we had to get that changed. We ordered a gluten free salad with quinoa but they came back to say they had none so we had to have a different salad. One waiter told us all the pasta could be ordered gluten free bar 3. We ordered our dishes but a waitress came back to say the only gluten free options were spaghetti or penne. When it arrived they'd put the wrong pasta with the wrong sauce so just as well I'd ordered gluten free also but it was tasty. Not one of the waiters served us wine and it wasn't busy, there was more staff than people eating. However the young waitress was very nice and as it was my daughters birthday she asked me if I'd like to order her a desert with a,candle on. I chose a gluten free option and my daughter was happy but there was no Happy Birthday music or singing.which most places do. Although once the desert arrived we saw it had sponge fingers at the bottom so we had to ask if it was gluten free and the waitress went to ask the manager to confirm it was ok. What should have been a lovely birthday dinner ended up being a disappointed one. More so the next day as my daughter suffered dreadfully and spent the day in bed so there would have been some gluten somewhere or had been in contact with. We won't...
Read moreAmazing Italian restaurant, located right on a roundabout next to a petrol station and a few other restaurants and dry cleaners. Friendly staff which wear masks and gloves for safety and cleansiness. The staff speak both Spanish and English . There bread is good and there seating is very nice both inside and outside. The decor is stylish and easy on the eye. We sat outside the view was nice. It's welcoming to singles, couple, families and group gathering. The menu is simple and easy to choose food and drinks. They have lots too choose from, starters, main and dessert. Plus the drinks menu. They even have a kids menu. The service was fast and correct. The only problem was the coffee it came out cold but they corrected the mistake immediately. The food was really good. We even had food to spare after the meal so we requested to take it home and they said no problem and prepared our take away. The bar was quite large they had beer on tap and lots of hard liquor to choose from. They even have cocktails. We ordered a bottle of white wine and it was fruity , clean and smooth. Went well with our pizza. The pizza was fresh and cooked properly. One would say it was even better than da Bruno. The atmosphere was warm and open, there were children playing next to us and making some noise so the ambience wasn't amazing. I requested a tooth pick and they had...
