Breakfast at Pan & Mermelada Marbella was a wonderful experience and the perfect way to start the day. Situated in Nueva Andalucía, not far from Puerto Banús, this restaurant has become something of a local institution, and it’s easy to see why. It offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere combined with excellent food and attentive service.
The venue itself is charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The terrace is especially pleasant in the morning, creating a relaxed and sunny setting ideal for breakfast or brunch. The interior is cozy yet stylish, giving the restaurant a laid-back, international café vibe that immediately makes you feel at home.
The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes – from hearty full English breakfasts and healthy options to fresh pastries, eggs prepared in every style, pancakes, and delicious smoothies. Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and the presentation thoughtful. Coffee was excellent too, strong and aromatic, and the fresh juices were a highlight.
The staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Service was quick, even though the restaurant was busy, and the team managed to create a relaxed environment while still being attentive. It felt clear that many guests were regulars, which says a lot about the consistency and quality of the place.
Pan & Mermelada has a casual elegance that makes it equally suitable for a quick breakfast, a leisurely brunch with friends, or even a light lunch. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again.
For anyone staying in or around Marbella and looking for a reliable, high-quality breakfast or brunch spot, Pan & Mermelada is an absolute must. A true local gem that lives up to its...
Read moreThe service was fast, very friendly, and correct in all regards.
However.... the first stack of pancakes I was brought were completely uncooked batter in the center. I sent them back and the replacement was better, but still not what I would expect when paying 12 euros for 3 pancakes. 16.00€ actually, as I added blueberries and extra syrup (they are extremely miserly with the syrup). My father, God rest his soul, who was not an especially talented cook (sorry Dad), made much tastier pancakes than these.
Another thing that caught my eye, the honey they place on the table, in a plastic squeeze bottle, is a mix of "mieles procedentes y NO procedentes de la UE" (honey from within and WITHOUT the European union. What this almost always means is that it contains "honey" from China. I am a beekeeper and member of the Asociación de Apicultores de Asturias so I have some knowledge of the topic. I would expect that a place that charges these prices would use quality ingredients, not something whose origin and composition is in serious doubt.
Please support beekeeping in Spain and serve only pure local honey. There are many reputable and well established beekeepers in the province of Málaga. Doing so will benefit your patrons, the local economy, and most importantly, safeguard the future of a species that is both threatened and critical to our own...
Read moreGreat discovery with interesting menu full of flavor and amazing staff. People who smile, are kind, engage in conversation and provide great service are hard to find in Marbella. I always pay attention when people smile.
The atmosphere’s restaurant is cozy and relaxing with a menu offering a good variety of food. From healthy to classic and some vegetarian items to fit your mood.
Their breakfast burrito was excellent. Great size and wonderful flavor. Their omelettes are a good size and also delicious. The express sandwich was filling and their healthy bowls are as delicious as colorful. Most of their plates come with a side of potatoes but the way they make it is in incredibly superb. It’s like a potato square full of flavor.
I only have two complaints:
I would honestly take the American pancakes off the menu or reword them. These are not American pancakes at all. Being American and ordering this was disappointing. They are like fat muffing flatten as pancakes with a dry texture.
Some of their items are overpriced for the amount they you get. I honestly think smoothies are overpriced along with a couple plates in their regular menu.
If you can park…. This is a great location to chill and taste some great food. Also, their coffee presentation is great and the flavor...
