I first visited La Taberna del Pintxo in Marbella when it first opened, together with my late partner as we often holidayed in Marbella in spring. Sadly, my partner died about 9 years ago and until last month I hadn't holidayed in Marbella for some ten - eleven years. I was extremely pleased to find La Taberna still operating and, not only that, still serving delicious tapas, especially hot tapas, in a great atmosphere with staff who were very friendly and caring (very important to me as I am 72 years of age) and clearly being happy working there with splendid camaraderie. I was only in Marbella for four nights this time, but I visited every night and enjoyed every minute I spent in La Taberna del Pintxo. I very much look forward to my next visit to Marbella, which is lovely anyway, and to your very fine establishment which was top-rate in every respect, which is so important to a sole visitor like myself. Read moreLove this place. Have been waiting to go here since pre-lockdown. Great vibe and setting. Once you have your table, order your drinks and then wait while different tapas are brought to your table. No obligation to try, but if you see something you like, go for it. The food is tasty, especially the tapas with fish and fish-based paste are delicious!
4 stars because the personal seemed strange. The main waiter was superkind but kept forgetting that we ordered drinks, one girl clearly ignored us (may have had a bad day, alright, but it is not my responsibility to pay for it) and just the young guy named Raul (if I remember correctly) was so glad and eager to work that I actually felt sorry if I refused to take any tapas from him :) He totally deserves a pay rise and I wish he will be there when we...
