I'm sorry to report that my experience at Mas Que Tapas was nothing short of disastrous. From the get-go, the service was appalling; the staff seemed to lack any interest in providing a decent dining experience, coming off as rude and unaccommodating.
As for the food, it was an absolute disappointment. The tapas, which are supposed to be a highlight of Spanish cuisine, were of shockingly bad quality. Each dish felt like it was prepared with the least amount of care possible—think reheated, tasteless, and with no resemblance to authentic Spanish flavors. The portions were tiny, almost insulting, especially given the price they charge.
The overall atmosphere was soured by the unfriendly service and the lack of any warmth or hospitality. I've had tapas in various parts of Spain, and this was by far the worst experience. Mas Que Tapas seems to rely heavily on its prime location near the beach to lure in unsuspecting tourists, but the quality of the food and service does not justify even a single visit.
In summary, if you're looking for an authentic, enjoyable tapas experience, steer clear of Mas Que Tapas. It's a classic tourist trap where you'll end up paying for a poor quality meal and an even poorer dining experience. Avoid...
Read moreWe were brought food we hadn't ordered and the waiter, who we had heard speaking English to other guests, suddenly lost the ability to understand us or deal with our problem. We had ordered Tapas size meatballs, but we were brought meatballs and chips. We were also brought another vast plate of chips which they tried to charge 8 euro for. What should have been a cheap meal started to get very expensive. Having been seated, the waiter took an eternity to take our order and had an unsettling habit of caressing the shoulder or back of all the male diners every time he spoke to one. He got quite nasty when we left the mammoth plate of chips we hadn't ordered and declined to pay for them.
I feel we had been deliberately given extra items as most people would pay and not wish to make a fuss, or would assume the order confusion was in some way their fault.
I would strongly advise you avoid eating here and disregard the 1 euro tapas sign, as only a couple of items are 1 euro and they are literally bite size.

Read moreBad food. Service good at the start but it got bad.
We were 4 people in the company. Service was OK up until a misunderstanding (they brought a plate and none of us remebered ordering it) - after that they "forgot" to bring us the remaining 6 tapas which we had ordered. After a long wait we asked about it and we got it. The waiter didn't even apologise. They later said it was a miscommunication between the waiter and the kitchen.
I had two different types of chorizo, cheese croquettes, garlic mushrooms and a spanish omelette with tuna. The chorizos were okay. The cheese croquettes tasted like something directly out of the freezer of the supermarket. They were served with fries (?) which were the only decent part of the dish. Garlic mushrooms were okay but nothing special. The spanish omelette also tasted like something that came from the freezer and the tuna must have been canned.
Being a small guy I was still hungry...
