We began with a bottle of Champagne for four adults, which was enthusiastically (and rather unceremoniously) emptied into the glasses in one go, filling each flute to the brim. Instead of resting on ice and being topped up gradually — as any seasoned sommelier or attentive server would do — the Champagne was left to warm up and lose its sparkle before we’d finished the first toast. To add to that, the Champagne list is priced at a level that would make even Parisian rooftops blush.
The sushi section was perfectly serviceable but lacked any real excitement. The lobster rolls, in particular, were a missed opportunity — using lobster/crab paste instead of fresh raw lobster inevitably stripped away the texture and sense of indulgence that the name promises.
Surprisingly, none of the steak dishes listed on the menu were available that evening. To their credit, the staff informed us before we placed the order — but for a supposedly premium venue, running out of every steak option still feels like quite an accomplishment. A brief explanation or a thoughtful alternative would have elevated the situation from awkward to gracefully handled.
It’s also worth mentioning that on this Tuesday evening, we enjoyed the rare privilege of being the only table in the restaurant. While that might sound like a private dining experience, in practice it only accentuated the lack of atmosphere. Even with no other guests, the pacing wasn’t quite right — the child at our table waited an unusually long time for a simple ice cream, which did little to suggest a well-coordinated kitchen.
Overall, the setting has potential, but the execution doesn’t live up to the concept. With more attention to service standards, menu consistency, and a touch less Champagne markup, Noyane could offer something special. As it stands, it’s a 3-star experience — polished on the surface, but missing the...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dining experience at Zengo this evening. The atmosphere was lively and modern, which made it the perfect setting for a memorable evening. I ordered an Old Fashioned, along with the tuna and salmon sashimi, and everything exceeded my expectations.
The Old Fashioned was expertly crafted, with the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. The tuna and salmon sashimi were beautifully presented, with vibrant colors and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The flavors were clean and delicate, showing the quality of the ingredients.
Our waiter, Daniel, provided outstanding service throughout the meal. He was attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions we had about the menu.
Overall, Zengo provided an exceptional dining experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out with delicious food and...
