Restaurante Las Flores — Restaurant in Marbella

We’ve always enjoyed visiting this restaurant during our stays in Marbella. Unfortunately, this year’s experience has been nothing short of appalling.

Most recently, we ordered the grilled sea bass, clearly pointing to the specific item on the menu when ordering, which has a fixed price. We’ve had this dish here before, so we knew exactly what we were ordering. It is NOT priced by weight, and the menu DOESN'T indicate that anywhere. When the bill came, we were stunned to see we’d been charged 150% more than the listed price.

When we politely raised this, even showing the exact dish on the menu, the manager stormed over, yelling aggressively about “the size, the weight” completely dismissing our explanation. He wouldn’t even let us speak or refer back to the menu. His behaviour was entirely unprofessional. We were left shocked and confused. How are customers supposed to know they’re being given something different and more expensive without being told?

But what made it worse is that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Earlier this week, we had a similar experience with the gambas. We ordered gambas pil pil. What we received was something completely different. When we questioned it, the staff insisted that it was what we ordered. We didn’t want to waste the food, so we decided to just go along with it. Once again, the bill came and we were charged double. Today, I checked the gambas we were charged previously and learned it wasn’t even on the menu. Despite that, we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and went back today.

For this to happen twice in one week, and in such a calculated way, we can only conclude it’s deliberate. This is not a misunderstanding. It’s a pattern of misleading customers, and inflating the bill without warning.

We would STRONGLY WARN others! Be EXTREMELY careful when dining here. Ask questions, double-check prices, and don’t assume HONESTY. This restaurant will take advantage of you if they can.

Sometimes, it’s not even about the money it’s the insult of being deliberately misled, as if they assume you won’t notice or won’t speak up. You have to wonder how many others have fallen into the same trap. PLEASE don't be the next one and AVOID this place!!

Me and my colleague were here today evening. We went out for smoking cause there were lot of children around and when we back our table was mooved away with our drinks, actually we ordered food more before it happened. Our waiter said to smb to give table back and there were no our drinks. She left and even didn't apologise and didn't come to ask if everything OK or not. We didn't order drinks again just waited our meal, ate and go. Such awful I saw first time in my life even in small cafe in simple towns service is better. Don't recommend. Arrogant staff, not family friendly. We reserved.a table on the terrace for 7:30. When we arrived we were offered the worst table, even as at that early by Spanish standards time there was almost nobody around. When we asked for a better table we were offered the second worst one. Clearly, having two small girls suggested that our consumption would be small. Shameful behaviour, and this after specifically making a reservation 6 hours before.
