YIKOI — Restaurant in Marbella

Almost 5*. This restaurant is only a few months old, and I've already had the pleasure of eating there three times. It's Eastern cuisine, fine, light, authentic, with beautiful dishes, not very expensive, a pleasant atmosphere, and Chinese owners with a great sense of humor (but what else could you expect after years of living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands...🙈!?). What's missing (I told the owner, and he promised me to fix it! 👍😁) is the large spring roll filled with lots of vegetables, ham, egg, chicken and bean sprouts. The way they serve them in Belgium and in Holland. Not 'fine' at all, but very jammie. An appetizer is on the house beforehand, and a shot is on the house afterward - small, but well appreciated gestures. I wish this friendly family all the best and a continued success, but if they can maintain this quality and price level, no doubt that many similar reviews...

There is a new gem in town!

Yikoi opened three months ago, and does not get enough credit yet if I am honest. We have been to almost all japanese/sushi restaurants in Marbella but this evening left us with a smile at the end. The restaurant is located in between tennis courts and overlooking a pool on one side. We can say that the food was excellent and the staff were so friendly (which is not always the minimum in other restaurants). Throughout the evening we were given lovely gestures from the restaurant at the start, middle and end.

Service with a smile is rare nowadays and something we truly appreciate. The owner was even speaking dutch after he lived in our hometown Amsterdam (The Netherlands). We will come back to Yikoi for sure, count us in as regulars from now on.

Absolutely outstanding! This Asian restaurant in Marbella exceeded all expectations from start to finish. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented — every dish we tried was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal.

What really made the experience special was the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive. They took the time to make sure everything was perfect for us and their passion for both the food and the guests really shone through. It felt more like dining with friends than just going to a restaurant.
