Confusión — Restaurant in Mijas

Confusion sums it up pretty nicely. We do not recommend this restaurant. At the start we assumed the poor experience was due to a lack of organisation, but by the end of a disappointing meal - when we had to clear away our own plates and go to the bar to pay whilst being ignored by the waiters busy chatting amongst themselves or on their phones - we realised that the staff simply didn’t care. Seemed to be same treatment for locals too who were told to wait to be seated when there were several tables available. We ordered the Gorgonzola ravioli, which was completely lacking in Gorgonzola, more of a non-descript white paste, As well as a greasy prawn linguine and a House salad that we had requested without nuts that came resplendent covered in nuts and seeds. With this potent combination of poor service and underwhelming food, the evening was underscored by the disappointment of such a wonderful location being so poorly managed and under utilised....

I ate menú del día as I often have in the past without problems. However, on Thursday I had again and opted for the fish. That night I was so very ill! I’d not eaten anything else that day so it had to have been from this restaurant. My friend had vegetarian lasagna and was also very ill that night. Cross contamination? What a pity. Has the chef changed? Or just got lazy in cleanliness?...

Bistro type restaurant. Ceviche with a twist. Maybe a bit to much lettuce. Followed by a taste full gambas pil pil as well with a twist which made it a bit richer then the standard recipe. Spare ribs which you can eat with knife and fork. Tasteful. Homemade patatoes. Mayonaise could be a bit more consistent and richer. Nice atmosphere. Will go back. Excellent...
