Restaurante la Paereta — Restaurant in Mijas

Stopped here for a romantic meal last night with the wife whilst on holiday as the location was nice. I can honestly say this was the worse dinning experience I think we have ever had! The service was terrible, staff were rude and very unprofessional. The food was absolutely terrible. It was poor quality and had hot spots where it was easy to establish the food had come out of the microwave. Our waiter was really rude. He walked off and started talking to the other waiter when we were ordering our food. He didn't listen and that's probably the reason my wife got the wrong starter, wrong main and I didn't get my bread. When we brought this to his attention they started to argue with me with what we ordered. Slammed down the plates and rolled his eyes. We were never asked whether our meal was good and were not offered a second drink. We didn't see the waiter again once he gave us our grotty mains. The place honestly was a huge disappointment. It was very clear to me that they are open for the wrong reasons and this establishment was not a genuine Italian restaurant. Certainty not going...

Chose to eat here as it was close to our accommodation, as it was getting late after our journey to Mijas. Should have read the reviews first! Service was awful. The staff clearly didn't want to be there & couldn't wait for the restaurant to close. We ordered garlic bread with cheese for starter but only received garlic bread, which was ok. The pizzas arrived, but the plates from the starters hadn't even been cleared. The pizzas were edible, as we were hungry, but not the tastiest. I entered the restaurant hoping to ask if I could use the restroom by any chance.

First of all, the person in the restaurant disrespected me for not being a customer. When I asked him to be kind, he hit my hand saying that “shut up and get out”.
