Like everyone else says - the food is amazing - delicious and well presented. The service, well you are in a South of Spain, so you might get forgotten about or the staff can get tired towards the end of the day and be a little slower. Not a deal breaker for the area for sure. However, there is one very MAJOR issue and that is the desert section. The restaurant has a desert area with a large display section where people can look at what they are getting and even order take out, behind this section is the place where they make deserts with stand mixers, ovens and other things - everything is open and on display. We were sitting literally next to this area so I could see everything. The lady that was there, who was in charge of preparing orders for serving used her naked hands for everything - to pick up deserts from the glass display section, putting them on plates for customers to eat, sweeping the floor with a broom, wiping surfaces with a cloth and was wiping her hands on her apron which was quite soiled. We were there for more than an hour and I did not see her wash her hands once, even though she prepared many deserts for serving during that time. To me this looked horrifying and absolutely disgusting, I wonder if she washes her hands after using the bathroom, or just goes back to grabbing deserts with her hands again to place them on customers plates. I can only hope that their main kitchen is of a better standard than this. By all means visit, but please refrain from ordering deserts or at least supervise how they are being prepared for serving. I sincerely wish that this review will help the management implement the changes as the place is otherwise...
Read moreThis was a place we used to go to a lot before the COVID lockdown, and it was great to see it open and thriving again. Even better now with amazing selection of deserts.
The food is creative and the cooking is spot on.
Rabo de Toro (oxtail) burger is one of my favourites, but it is not what you think. It is pulled oxtail, with all the fat taken out, and served in a brioche bun.
The tagliatelle with prawns is perfect for adults and children.
Their Duck is to die for, and you will certainly come back for more.
Surprisingly, they do a Thai Green Curry, which is a favourite dish of mine, and I usually do not select it anywhere other than Thai restaurant. But these guys do a great job of it, if you fancy something spicy.
For starters I would order from their selection of tapas. Their morcilla is very tasty, deep fried aubergine with cane sugar is one of the best. The portions are small, so they are what tapas is meant to be, but your main course will make up for it.
Goat cheese salad is another good starter, but you need someone to share it with, otherwise you will not make it to the main course!!
The service is great, even though they are usually rushed off their feet. They are always pleasant and friendly.
Word of warning. You do need to book, specially for the weekends (even lunch time), so if you want to try this place, don't leave...
Read moreWe wondered in for a bite of cake. We fell in love with the pasties and coffee. Everything was made with love. You could watch the pastries being made in an open kitchen. Or, You could sit outside and watch life go by in the square. Our waiter was full of energy and happy vibes. The check even came in an adorable hand painted box. Little did we know, we would be back for a drink, hours later, before leaving for the night. The menu was so intriguing that we had to try the cinnamon sugar crispy chicken. The wine was so good that we decided to stay for a full steak dinner. It wasn't until he put the steak down that I realized he didn't ask us how we would like it cooked. That's because this chef knew how to cook the most amazing steak EVER!!! My husband usually orders the steak and I usually have a few bites. We fought over every last buttery bite of this Angus steak. Definately the best meal of our 3 week vagation! Make a reservation! We sat at the last two seats at the bar, while others waited an hour. And, this...
