LA GLERA — Restaurant in Mijas

Absolutely blown away by our experience at La Glera. We stumbled across it while searching for somewhere special for our final night in La Cala, and we couldn’t have chosen better. Lucky to grab the last available table (always a good sign when the rest are booked!).

We sat inside near the open kitchen and got to watch the chef and his team work their magic – such a treat in itself. The food? Exceptional. Every dish beautifully crafted and full of flavour.

The best Italian restaurant outside of Italy!! Not surprising as they have a genuine Italian cook in the kitchen!

Spaghetti carbonara is unequalled, and made to perfection. The pizzas, are superb, and one of the few places that offers calzone.

Salads are works of art, and they taste good as they look.

Be warned, portions are huge, so be careful how much you order. The bruschetta is amazing, and enough to feed a family, but then nothing is served here in meager portions!

Absolutely fabulous food, we all had different choices, the food was beautifully arranged on the plates. The pasta, 3 choices on a sharing plater was a great idea. I had a seafood salad which was great! Some had pizza, which was equally good. We had the bruchetta for a shared starter, it was so tasty ! We would highly recommend this place. My only negative would be that it's in a residential street, so no views of sea etc if you sit outside. However,...
