Mesón Doña Lola — Restaurant in Mijas

We dined at Mesón Doña Lola on 8th September and had a wonderful meal. We started by sharing the Gambas Pil-Pil and some crusty bread to dip which was lovely and for the entree Jen ordered the fillet steak and I ordered the sirloin steak. Both were cooked perfectly and washed down with a bottle of the house red which was significantly better than one might expect for a house wine. All in all a lovely meal and great service. A reasonable restaurant with available and smiling waiting staff. Ambiance is a bit touched by the fact that it faces the road, rather than the sea, somehow basic amidst other tables. As for the food - pretty satisfactory without certain shine. Desserts were certainly good - nugat with balkan fruits and Cheesecake. We'd intended going for a meal at Da'Vincis next-door, but they were closed as I guess its out of season for them.

DaVincis loss was Meson's gain as we turned our attention to them instead - and had a fabulous meal to boot.

To be fair its not our first time eating here and as others have said the staff are verry friendly and can't do enough for you.
