Restaurante Maravilla — Restaurant in Mogán

The pool is quite nice but not too big, at times it can get crowded. But it is very clean. The location is good, in between Puerto Rico and Maspalomas, great finds. Make sure you rent a car if you stay here, as it comes very very handy.

As a couple we received 2 single beds pushed against each other that kept sliding away, very annoying, we had to tie up the beds legs. The cleanliness in the apartment itself wasn't so good, we could find hair in the shower, on the towels, and during the cleaning service the floor was rarely washed, we weren't impressed at all. With exception of Edgar, the breakfast and pool bar attendant whom is a very kind, there is no one who provides customer service at all. The reception is a complete joke, they do not give you any sort of information at check-in except, of course, pay now. What really surprised me was how rudely could this guy chew gum in front of us, I know I haven't booked a 5* property, but if they want good reviews, they need to considerably improve their behavioural service, during our stay he was rude and completely useless, while using the pool out of hours as well ( it-s 9 to 19 ). The noise from the heavy machinery working on top of the reception is constant drilling from 8-9 am to 6 pm during the week, thanks god we were far away from the works, but going to the pool or the bar wasn't relaxing because of that. If you fall in the spider net, at least ask for a room ending in 11, as they are in the other corner from the works. We were quite disappointed the restaurant wasn't open during our stay, it was closed for all september for holiday. Parking facilities at the apartments are non existent, only street parking available, right in the middle of a turn, which is single yellow line most of it. Overall I will not stay here again, think twice before paying because there is no way back, no free...

This place is awful. Firstly when we arrived everything was closed and our room keys were left on the shop shutter with our names on them but no note to tell us they're there, could of easily missed it and spend our first night in reception (overheard another family complain about the same thing). The room is alright but the TV was not working so spend a whole week facing a black screen before going to sleep. Then breakfast, firstly they don't inform you of the closing time for the buffet and when we found out it was 10:30 we went down one morning at 10am and they had already cleared everything out. Staff are not very friendly they don't smile and the elevator stinks every morning. This place is awful and if Gran Canaria wasn't so beautiful our holiday would have been ruined. The cleaners walked into our room without knocking twice and once they came knocked then walked away. We stayed for 7 nights they barely changed the towels (pretty sure they picked them up from the floor) we got two little pouches of shampoo and no tea/coffee. The lighting is awful really dull and depressing and the extra lamp didn't even work. Also on our last day they called us at 1pm and asked us when we're leaving because they want to clean the room for the next people? Which is ridiculous because that's not our Check out time- how can you ask your customers to leave their room cause your cleaners can't do an efficient job. Never...

Het appartement is heel ruim en super schoon, elke dag komen ze schoonmaken en om de paar dagen het bed verschonen. De badkamer is ook groot met een ruime douche, geen bad. De bedden liggen heerlijk, niet te hard of te zacht, m.i. goede matrassen! De keuken.is prima met twee pitten /platen om op te koken. Een minpuntje: er is erg weinig keukengerei, alleen het hoog nodige. Alleen een broodmes en een lepel om te roeren... Wel goede pannen, waterkoker, koffiezetapparaat en een soort combi magnetron etc. Verder is er een groot balkon, de meeste met zee zicht! Op de 4de verdieping is het zwembad en zit je balkon dus aan het zwembad.

Als je naar het strand wilt moet je wel de heuvel af en dus ook weer op lopen, een kleine klim van .200 meter. Dan kom je links op een wat kleiner strand met donker zand, prima hoor. Als je rechts gaat ongeveer 1 km lopen is er een wit strand, het zand is geïmporteerd. Het merendeel van het personeel in het hotel spreekt geen Engels, maar dan roepen ze iemand erbij. Ze zijn wel vriendelijk als ze je eenpaar keer hebben gezien.

Nog een pre: in appartement 301 is wel airco!! Het hotel zou ook een grill restaurant zijn maar dat is nu gesloten ivm een interna verbouwing??

Het ontbijt is gewoon, niet bijzonder. Beetje Engels georiënteerd, dus bacon en beans, gebakken ei of roerei. Wit en bruin brood en baguettes, drie soorten vleesbeleg en 2 soorten kaas. 2 soorten yoghurt en cornflakes. Tomaten en watermeloen. Sappen komen uit een machine en koffie en thee.

Bij de receptie verkopen ze wat dingen: water! Insmeerspul, sigaretten en wat drank: ook niet onbelangrijk. Voor nette prijzen! Als je de heuvel afloopt zitten er twee supermarkten, de eerste is een spar: met een ruim aanbod. Als ik 3,5 ster had kunnen geven had ik het gedaan, fijne vakantie!...
