:) Lovely imported white sands. A great constructed hideaway when it is a light tourist season. Can be windy. No showers to wash off with but there are foot wash stations. Beach is constantly patrolled by police and safety / rules announcements are frequent on the loud speakers. Beach is semi-private and has had a closing time of 2000 (8pm) since before Covid. Rules / use is strictly enforced which means light fun and no splashing. Kids friendly. Public Bathrooms are possible as well as Pay Bathrooms depending on time of day, season and now dependant on the health crisis levels. Lifeguards patrol beach as well. Options to rent boats and ocean adventures located here as well as lovely sea walk that stretches along the coast for about 5km in each direction. Worth a look if you can find parking. Global Bus access is limited but possible if you don't mind walking a few kilometers from the nearest stop. Beautiful keep area. Expect High / Inflated Tourist Prices for just about...
Read moreOne of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. Honestly my favourite in Gran Canaria. It’s worth mentioning that I visited it in November, so maybe my experience will not be the same for everyone.
The beach is filled with a white soft sand, with sunbeds and enough space to sit on a towel if you want. For 2 sunbeds and an umbrella the price is 12 euro, but it can get to 40 euro if you want one of the beds.
During our visits we never once saw trash or cigarette buds on the beach.
The water is beautiful and clean and it’s not abrupt at all.
We heard the announcement, but it was more like once an hour, and it didn’t really bother us at all. Drinking from glass bottles is forbidden, but otherwise you can still drink whatever you want. Smoking is also forbidden on the beach, but there are enough places right on it’s outskirts where you can smoke.
There rules are there so you and everybody else can enjoy a clean beach and it works.
It wasn’t crowded, but maybe because it...
Read moreThere is a tannoy system in operation that reminds people that smoking and drinking alcohol on the beach is forbidden and that they will call the police if needed. So do it then! We saw lots of rude people smoking and drinking on the beach and nothing happened to them. We had to breathe in other peoples filthy smoke which is definitely not on and slightly ruined the times we went there. That said, we did still like this beach a lot, its looks fantastic, the sand is nice (You still get cigarette butts in the sand but perhaps slightly less than elsewhere) and is a great place for a swim (we liked to swim the 100m out to the floating barrier). There are lots of higher end shops around and places to eat around. We hired a peddlo with slide one day which was great fun. There are some pay toilets (yeah, paying for toilets is ridiculous) but also some free ones near the busy lift and spa...
