We went to this restaurant based on good reviews. The dishes we ordered were grilled sole fish. At least our dishes were quite ordinary and nothing more. Our dishes in no way matched the good reviews and our expectstions. The Fishes were not well seasoned and you have to seasoned the foods with the help of the sauce on the side and a lot of lemon juices, salt and pepper. The most annoying thing was that when we wanted to pay, I took out the cash at first but then I noticed that the other customers were paying by card and I wanted to pay by card too. They saw my cash but I put it back in my wallet and wanted to pay by card like other customers but surprisingly they told me you can only pay cash. This was not written anywhere in the restaurant. The cost of our meal with drinks was 33.5 euros and I gave them 40 euros and planned to tip them 10% of the cost of the meal from the rest of money that they would give me back. Surprisingly, after waiting for some time, they did not return any remaining money to us and did not offer to return the rest of our money. That was realy and completely rude. In the country I come from, and as customers we should have the right to choose whether we want to tip or not, and if we do, we are abke to choose how much. I am completly sure that even if you want to tip in Spain, it will be around 5-10% of the total cost of your meal. In our case, they took tip 20% without asking us. I find that completely rude. Overall, the quality of the food did not match the good reviews. I will not go back to this restaurant and will not recommend...
Read moreWas lucky enough (I thought)to get the last available table when I reserved for a Tuesday night. No issue with staff who were absolutely lovely but the menu is confusing and does not state the size of steaks..... It also doesn't state that if you do not want canarian potatoes that you have to pay for fries (and don't get canarian potatoes at all if you choose the fries which cost extra and are beyond tiny portions). My girlfriend had the rump steak which was an OK size but I got the fillet which was only to be described as the smallest steak I have ever had in a restaurant (and I have never seen this size for sale in a restaurant as it was miniscule) and cost €20 (without fries and what can only be described as a child's handful of veg taken from a packet from superdino) The meat was good but it was so small we went to Slow Boat chinese next door for more food afterwards which was excellent. Don't know why this place has such high reviews given they portion sizes. Also at no point were we asked how our meal was. Not...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant twice. The first time, we tried the grilled sole, and it was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were also quite good. We returned a second time because I was craving that fish again—it was just so tasty. This time, we ordered the same fish but fried in batter, and it was also pretty good.
The restaurant is popular, with lots of people, and they serve decent wine at great prices. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and one of the highlights is the open kitchen right in the dining area, where the chef cooks in front of everyone. It adds an entertaining touch to the experience, which is quite cool.
Overall, the food is nice, and I highly recommend this...
