First I have to say the original visit was very good. Our server Jose is a very nice man, super friendly and very welcoming. The food and service at first was spot on, fast and expected. Our second visit was totally opposite and hostile. Upon arrival were greeted by Jose and ordered beers and a mixed tapas. The drinks were provided quickly and we waited for our food..and waited..waited some more ...(over an hour) then decided to leave. We approached the cashier (lady, not our server) and asked to pay for our drinks and leave...she immediately responded that she would call the police if we left without paying or entire bill!! ?? We tried to explain to Jose and the lady we only want to pay for drinks and leave to get food somewhere else. They could not seem to understand or comply with this simple fact of customer service! So upon the insistence of the restaurant staff we waited for the police. And we happily complied. Before the cops arrived the lady became very hostile demanding we pay and grabbing / assulting my wife, laying hands on her!!...I had to physically block and restrain this lady!!! She is a ridiculous member of staff and a liability to your company!!! Police arived about 10mins, talked with staff and we paid for our drinks only. Then we were escorted to our rooms to check passports/ID (restaurant is in the complex as ours!!) During the walk to our room we were advised by police we should go elsewhere (food wise).. for this establishment has been a previous problem regarding "customer service"
Obviously not recommended.
Edit reply to owner: all we wanted to do was pay our bill, leave and go eat somewhere else. You insisted we pay for something we never received, you called the police over one 15€ tapas, your staff member assaulted my wife!! You madam are the aggressor, not us.
Steer clear of this establishment. Patalavaca offers many other choices with great people who are...
Read moreLovely place, tucked away above Patalavaca beach. Great views, and a warm welcome from all the friendly staff. Some of the best food we've eaten all holiday, with all the tapas dishes a decent sharing size. Definitely recommend the chorizo (really good quality, we had in cider, perfect for dipping garlic bread in!), the baby elvers with prawns and garlic (absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly), little chicken kebabs (beautifully prepared, juicy and tasty), and a tomato and mozzarella salad of very generous proportions. All accompanied by a light and young tempranillo (cheapest house wine, such a bargain for the quality!). We were so impressed that we hope it's open on Sunday for us to eat there again on...
Read moreThe location and a sunset view are amazing. The service is very sweet and friendly. A seafood paella was like from heaven, also how festive it was served (by a sweet boss woman). Spanish cognac was very good as well. Just one concern is about a salad. We would like to have a vegetable salad, but the only option without meat/fish/seafood was a tomato salad with mozzarella. In a fact, they brought us just slices of tomatoes and mozzarella, nothing looking like a salad. And it costs 8,10 Euro... Very weird option for such a nice restaurant
Next time we had again awesome paella and a lot of tapas, it was amazing: pimentos, cheese, homemade olives, bread, elvers...
