Gastrobar Marlons — Restaurant in Mojácar

The place has good food and it is tastefully decorated. We visited when it opened with my family and unfortunately had to leave due to a flies swarm attack.

I have seen it full quite often so decided to give it a second chance.. and indeed food was good (tried the presa ibérica) but I was surprised that after so many time passed I still got attacked by 4-5 flies which seem regular guests of the place.

Now, the place would be in my to go list if not for that.

And can’t care about excuses (server mentioned is out of their control): you fumigate your trash can, put those blue flies killing machines, the old fashion stick tapes or grow basil around the place. Fact is other places don’t have this issue in the area.

There are plenty of solutions and the fact they are not implemented shows just carelessness about the issue.

Very happy to remove this if the owner can prove issue is taken care of as the food...

Awful service. Waited for half an hour to take orders despite only 4 tables and 2 waiters. We had a selection of tapas with first tapas coming after 40 minutes. Waiters were more interested in games and disappearing to back. Some of the food inedible and fried everything. Meat bland and to top it off awful background music. Only decent thing was the drinks but how hard is it to go wrong with a coke. They say on their website that they are the best restaurant in Mojacar. This was the worst meal in Spain !!!!!

What a disappointment

STAY WELL AWAY FROM...

We went here for breakfast and dinner one day. Both were fantastic! For dinner, we both ordered meals instead of tapas. Before dinner, they brought Spanish bread with garlic and avacado ali oli - it was very good! My wife had Iberian pork shoulder which was sliced, grilled perfectly, came out on a flaming hot plate with grilled veggies and chips. I had the sole, which was whole, again perfectly grilled with vegetables and chips. Both meals were fabulous, afterwards, we had a liqueur - all for a very reasonable price! The house wine...
