The food here is excellent. Wide choice and very good. Drinks and cocktails also excellent. So why not a 5 star. Because we will not go again. It’s the service particular the only one waiter that can take your food order and the girl that brings the card payment machine. There is huge contrast between the drinks waiters and the food waiter. We sat at our table were well looked after by the drinks waiter who was super friendly. Then we were left to wait for 20 minutes to be able to order food. We had asked twice for our order to be taken and the waiter saw my wife in 2 occasions try and get his attention. But no he couldn’t be bothered or for some reason didn’t want to serve us. It was early evening and the restaurant was not busy. He attended other tables that had arrived later than us. At last he came over and grumpily and with no grace took our order. Starters came but the plates were not cleared and had to be cleared by the waiters bringing the main. We quite fancied desert but the waiter had been so dismissive and we were not asked. Eventually we decided just to ask for the bill. I felt I was the one that should be grateful I was able to pay. The payment person did not even say thanks for paying a bill of more than 200 euros So an odd mix here and a real shame. The system that only one waiter can take the food order seems very inefficient and does not result in good service. Won't be going again, service was almost non existent, waited nearly an hour to get served, ages even just to order drinks. No menu's only the "code on phone" type, several diners could not access the menu and 2 didn't have smart phones, no other option!! The pan & alioli we asked for 3 times, took and hour and a half! In all we waited almost TWO HOURS for our food to arrive, only to be told that 2 of our party did not have the paella they ordered and would have to wait ANOTHER 45 minutes!!! Most of the lunches came with a tiny amount of the cheapest vegetables and no potatoes or one minuscule potato, sliced. Location is fantastic. Right on the beach. Whole place has been renovated. Now a comfortable, modern, upmarket restaurant not the beautiful, casual, rustic bar of old. Food was delicious but, the portions are very small especially the sharing dishes or their portion/cost ratio is off. We had the pasta and truffles which, was really delicious but, at best it was a large tapas portion for one, but certainly not a meal for two and at 18€+ it was very expensive. Service was so so. When our waiter was there he was lovely but not very attentive during the meal - we had to get up to ask for drinks etc on multiple occasions.
