Brasanegra Bodeguita — Restaurant in Monachil

The service at this restaurant was completely poor. I ordered an Angus burger, but when it arrived, it was undercooked and raw. I politely informed the waiter, and instead of offering an apology or a solution, he arrogantly replied, “Final, I’ll take it back to the kitchen.” After that, his attitude became even worse—he was rude, hostile, and dismissive towards us.

To make matters worse, the other two meals we ordered were also undercooked. One steak was rare instead of medium-rare, and the other was raw, only to be returned completely overcooked. To top it off, the burger I originally ordered, the Angus, was replaced with a Premium Angus. When I pointed out the mistake, the waiter insisted I had ordered the Premium, even though I clearly requested the regular Angus with onions, which is only included in the regular burger.

Shame - has massive potential! Do not take the Wagyu Kobe as the chef clearly is not able to give this the care and attention it deserves. The starters we took croquettes were from a frozen packet and not freshly prepared. Very poor. The highlights were the lovely waiter and waitress and great wine selection. The food we returned to be warmed (all of it) and the slop they called truffle mash was a half hearted cold puree. Steak was rare, not medium rare as requested. The Manager refused to come speak with us. No passion and obviously no desire at the end of the season. Poor experience - took 6 friends with our family after having a great meal 1 year ago. The meal quality was poor, chicken thigh covered in salt, 2 small potatoes also covered in salt and no vegetables, paella in a stew with uncooked rice, cold soups and make your own carbonara with raw eggs and no ham or bacon. That was just some examples not one person said they enjoyed their dinner. The service was poor and disrespectful and when we complained, we were told no-one had complained in 10 years as though we were wrong, they ignored us then offered a dessert by which time we felt unwelcome and all wanted to leave.
