Restaurante La Mar Salá Sierra Nevada — Restaurant in Monachil

We came to this restaurant again last night December 26th, our second visit, the first visit was December 24th, we popped in and booked a table for 20:30, when we arrived for our meal the restaurant and bar was packed apart for our reserved table. I would describe this restaurant as very cozy and warm with a friendly ambiance , they do have upstairs seating but we preferred downstairs. We had the Goats cheese which we had on our first visit for starters followed by a steak each, the food was very tasty and again the staff were very friendly and attentive, we had another superb meal This restaurant was recommended to us by our ski instructor she told us that this is where the instructors can be found as the food is excellent she was spot on, it’s also very near our hotel so thought we would give it a try and it’s fantastic the staff are amazing and the food is to die for first evening for starters we had the Kumato goat cheese followed by the Tuna for me and the steak for the other half,...

Para empezar he de decir que era nuestro sitio de referencia en Sierra Nevada para después de una jornada de esqui tomarnos unos buenos vinos y unas buenas tapas. Nuestra sorpresa ha sido este sabado cuando sobre las siete decidimos ir a tomar unos vinos y a reservar para cenar. Nos indican que lo tienen todo reservado para la cena y decidimos quedarnos en la barra. Pedimos unos vinos y nos indican que la cocina está cerrada y no nos pueden poner ninguna tapa...... sorprendentemente pedimos unas raciones y para eso sí tienen la cocina abierta.... Después de 12 vinos y cuatro raciones hablamos con una de las camareras y descaradamente nos dice que cuando se pide comida no ponen tapas, que son órdenes del dueño.... es decir que nosotros que les consumimos 110 € tenemos menos derecho a unas tapas que los que sólo pidieron de beber con un consumo de 20 €... Muy fuerte. La explicación de las camareras es simple.... No es su negocio y ellas no deciden, cumplen ordenes, sin más... Desde luego que han perdido un cliente...
