Nice restaurant just behind the main street in Carmen district. Nicely decorated throughout and good ambience with people regularly coming in and out. Lovely food - a trio of croquettes for starter followed by an amazing sea bream and finished off with a massive chocolate brownie. With a drink each (nice wine at 4 Euros a glass) 70 Euros total. Bring along a translation app with you as none of the staff spoke English - not a problem as my average Spanish...

I sat outside. None of waitresses payed attention to the outside tables. (Other guests saw me wave to waitress and told her.) The waitress told me it was so because there are more guests inside. The restaurant had a 25 % occupancy.

I ordered a dessert and wine, got the wine. I had to go inside and re-order the dessert at the bar. It took the argumentative waitress ten minutes to bring it. She did not apologise for...

It’s so welcome to find a Spanish restaurant that makes the effort to make their dishes distinctive and memorable, rather than just frying fish/meat in garlic. So 4*s for creativity despite the fact sadly the pepper jam with cod didn’t work for me - it’s way too sweet. But the menu seems to change a lot so I’m sure it’ll be replaced by something better soon. Very nice, rapid service both from the waiter and the owner....
