I can't rate the food as we didn't eat in the cafe. I must however comment on the service of the blonde woman who was utterly rude. My wife wished to use the toilet so we sat down and ordered two beers as we had eaten an hour prior so didn't wish to eat. Of course this blonde woman came and took the order and some other waiter brought us the beer we ordered. After about 15 minutes the blonde woman came back to our table and asked if we were ready to order and my wife explained we were just having a large beer because we had eaten earlier so we wouldn't be ordering food but we would like the bill. She then said, so you won't be eating? and immediately grabbed the paper place mats and scrunched them up, she looked very angry, She banged her eyes closed and stormed off, brought the bill threw it down on the table and took out the payment console. 8 Euros, she said in an angry voice. There was, no please, no thank you and held her Grimm look the whole time. I paid and she asked "and where is the receipt?" I said I have it in my pocket as I was keeping it as evidence that I had been there and that 8 Euros for two beers in a cafe was probably a little expensive. She then stormed off and we left. It's a shame that we must endure people like this woman when on holiday. Gladly the rest of the places we had drinks and food in had very nice staff and we enjoyed Nerja apart from this one cafe. I wouldn't recommend going there if you just would like to have a beer or a coffee. I didn't return to try the food later as I may have if we hadn't encountered this rude person. People in this type of business must remember that bad treatment of your customers holds...
Read moreThe restaurant looks great from the outside but as soon as you sit down you're met with the feeling you're not wanted there. The staff appeared annoyed and taking our order was low on the list of priorities. The waiter we had made a mistake and forgot to include someone's main meal, then tried to blame him for not ordering... his own meal! When the food came it was way below average and very dated. Onion soup was basically mildly flavoured onion water with unmelted cheese thrown in. The avocado and shrimp salad was more like a dessert (terrible), the mushroom omelette was so overcooked it looked like a burger patty and the meatballs (clearly frozen) were served in ketchup. If you walk 20 seconds round the corner, you'll find an excellent, authentic Spanish tapas restaurant that serves dishes based on what is fresh on the day - go...
Read moreWe came here the first night and got amazed! The food was SO good, the prices are hard to believe because they’re so cheap, the restaurant is at a calm plaza so in the evening it’s very calm to have dinner. Usually all tables are taken, so make a reservation upfront if you’d like to have dinner after 20h (usually when it gets busy). The staff is always very helpful, and incredibly kind, something that seems quite rare here.
We were so amazed by it that we came here every single day, either for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. The only day we couldn’t come was Wednesday because they were closed...
