Dined here with my wife and our baby girl. A table was found for us with enough room for our buggy to be beside us. We were quickly given the menu and we were offered drinks. Waiting staff were prompt and friendly from the beginning. We shared a starter of minced chicken Laos style, I can't remember the exact name. It was delicious. Before it arrived we were also given a appetiser of prawn in tempura batter with a sweet chilli sauce. It was cooked perfectly. When our baby started to complain just as the mains arrived, the waitress brought her on a walk around the restaurant and she came back to us about ten minutes later laughing and happy again! Our mains were delicious. My wife had red curry and I had chicken cooked with spring onion and lemon grass. I requested extra chillis in it when ordering and they were included with no problem so it was nice and spicy then. The ingredients were obviously fresh and all so flavoursome. It reminded us of our times in Thailand and Laos. Bottle of wine and our meals came to less than €50. We left very happy and would highly...
Read moreVisited on our last night in Nerja for a very nice evening meal. As others have mentioned, it is wise to book just in case - we popped in the afternoon before we wanted a table and organised it then. We turned up without a booking last year, and were disappointed, but pleased that they were busy as it's a good sign. The service was very friendly and there was plenty of choice on the menu, so it took a while to decide. The curries and the stir fries are authentic, cooked to perfection with the right balance of sweet/sour/salty/spicy flavours. A little appetiser of chicken in a sweet chilli sauce with garnish was a nice touch and a pleasant surprise. The desserts were also excellent, the mango cheesecake in particular - I don't normally have much of a sweet tooth but this was a really nice palate cleanser. We will be back, and of course we will make sure to book. Hopefully the black cat will be guarding the customers again...

We have been in there a few times lately and keep going back and so this must say something. I felt that the red Thai curry I ate the last time I was there was too sweet for my taste. The lunchtime midweek special menu is good value for money.
The restaurant is well located, close to the beach. It is simply furnished in a way that gives it almost a canteen feel, but pleasant enough all the same. The staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. I would certainly recommend anyone...
