I came here for lunch having looked at the pictures in Google and looking at the menu. Dissatisfied with the quality of the food and the service was frosty. Starters were really great but quantity was too much we ordered the aubergine fritas which was 2-3 aubergine fried served with a know almond dip that lacked any flavour, then the gambas which were lovely in a spicy sauce, mains were disappointing. The lamb chops were small fatty cuts with little to no meat, swimming in oil, the fries were the same really oily and sitting in oil. I think I had one or two bites and my stomach was turned. I tried draining the oil off into a side plate and the whole dish was full of oil. The waiting staff could see me doing this and didn’t approach to ask if everything was ok which it wasn’t. Also had the swordfish with cream avocado which was just a browned old guacamole, the swordfish was good but all in all very disappointing. The views are outstanding but one of the worst meals I have had in an otherwise outstanding...
Read moreWorst and most expensive meal in San Jose. We tried to book a table at 7pm but they said 8 was the earliest. When we arrived the restaurant was totally empty and the very unfriendly waiter had to check our booking even though we were the only customers. We were made to feel very unwelcome. We ordered the house salad which was very nice but before we had even eaten half of it the main courses arrived so we felt very rushed. The burger was inedible, straight from the freezer and warmed up in the microwave, rock hard. The lamb chops had virtually no meat which was very disappointing for 23 euros and we saw them being defrosted in the microwave. My mum asked for vegetables not chips but there were no vegetables other than the garnish. The chips with my meal were soggy, too much oil. There were 3 chefs for 3 people so it was hard to believe the food was so bad. With those prices one would expect good freshly cooked food. Very...
Read moreI don't know where it all went wrong. We had absolutely incredible starters. The artichokes and the anchovies were top notch. But when it came to the mains, oh dear. The food came out looking lovely but my oh my the octopus was so salty that it was inedible. We asked it to be sent back and they offered an alternative. But then my tuna was so well done it was like eating rubber. Also the potatoes were not fully cooked. I should have also sent it back but was still trying to get over the octopus. We ended up sharing the tuna well the bit that was somewhat better cooked. And then on top of that for two starters, one main(they didn't charge for the octopus) and 4 beers it came to €70! For that price the food should have been a lot better. The only thing I'll say is that the service was top notch but I won't ever be back. Very...
