Although there is a massive sign above the restaurant, but if you don't look up, you don't really notice this place. This is an all-you-can-eat sushi Asian buffet restaurant hidden upstairs above the electronic store. Price per person is £11.95 (Monday-Thursday), and £12.95 (Friday-Sunday). There are an extra few more choices on the menu if you go between Friday-Sunday. Drinks NOT included. It doesn't open all day so please do check their opening time.
I have been to this buffet a few time and it's been consistently good. I usually go in the afternoon and the restaurant is usually mostly empty, which is exactly why I like it. There are a lot of spaces between each tables so you don't feel like sardines. You can enjoy your food without anyone dropping their ears on your conversation. Not forget to mention, there is a spectacular view of the mountain.
There are not many staffs, usually 2, so it can be quiet slow with the attention. However, this is an all-you-can-eat buffet with no limit time for a set price, so what's the rush?
The sushi is not bad. I do admit, for the sashimi sushi, it used to be big piece of fish and small rice before the pandemic, but now the sashimi is small and the rice is big. But for the other sushi items, they are pretty much the same.
There are quite a good selection of sushi to choose from, as well as fried food and Asian dishes. If you are planning to try as many dishes as you can, for the Asian dishes, I would highly recommend only order 1 quantity at a time because the portion is not small.
Dishes that I would highly recommend are seaweed sushi, sesame balls, tempura prawns, Peking ducks, prawns in spicy sauce, and fine noodles.
Please note that there is a penalty for wasting food. €1 for cold food and €3 for hot food. So PLEASE DON'T order too much if you are not a big eater. You can order as many times as you like, so order small quantities at a time if you don't want to get a fine.
Overall, this is my go to place for a sushi buffet. It's relaxing, the food is good, and the...
Read moreThe food was horrible, yet well priced. I should have assumed it was going to be subpar after seeing sashimi for 4 euros. We left after the first round. The service was rude until made notice upon. We were sat by the window in and empty restaurant and were advised that the children shouldn’t touch the window. Then please by all means place us somewhere else. For a moment I thought I was having sushi in a library. The atmosphere was closer to a morgue than a restaurant. The chicken we ordered was at the table within 4 minutes. That’s definitely not fresh but rather heated in a fryer fresh. So much potential with the space and the spectacular views ruined by sushi that looks like it came from the supermarket cooling shelves rather than from a sushi chef with talent and passion. However, I hope they participate in criticism and improve their process. It would be great to return and see...
Read moreBeen many times , but this evening was abysmal. Service was very slow, very disjointed - rice , noodles etc arriving 15 mins after the main dish. Some of the order (5 of us ) arriving way after others . So could hardly dine together . 20 min wait just for ice cream 🤷♀️
But the most annoying thing was the waitress just laughed when I complained - when paying at the bar. They no longer bring the bill to the table, so that is the quickest part of the meal. Will never go again, which is a shame as very local .
Lots of others just walked out mid way as just had enough of a wait .
The service...
