Boris Sports Bar — Restaurant in Orihuela

We went for the Friday Tapas experience. Reservation were made in advance: so We chose all the dishes We wanted to eat in the evening. The waiter with his tied back hair wasn’t too welcoming (the reservation was with the other young waiter), made us stand around for some while, passing us bye several times without asking what we were there for. Finally I asked directly so we were finally seated. Again some time passed before he came asking (@10 minutes) and we managed to order drinks but had no chance to mention that we already made food reservations. So he wasn’t too inviting 😢, not even really nice. After quite some time our food arrived which was absolutely hilarious! We had two salads and the fried crab claws. When we asked for the bill it came as 15,10€, so we said: 17€. He took it away (without even acknowledging the tip) and came back with second bill and returning 0,50€ 😵‍💫🫣 We met Boris himself about one week earlier and had a great chat, telling us about his life and about the people mostly being around at las Filipinas. Extremely disappointed with the service in Boris bar tonight. I attended with my family and young children. Initially it took a long time to be served but this is understandable as they appeared under staffed. My children aged 6 years and 4 years had an ice lolly and as many 4 year olds do, she made a small mess on the table with her ice lolly - nothing a quick wipe wouldn't solve. However when Boris came over to our table, he wiped the table and made a very stern comment that it 'was not ok'. He made us feel wholly unwelcome and uncomfortable. I would imagine a company whose business is in service would understand that children do occasionally make a small mess! Bearly in mind there were no breakages, nothing in the floor...just a small bit of ice lolly on the table. If you have children, don't visit!! You...

Such a shame, we've always found this to be a lovely bar. We visit with our family every time we come to the area. On the last visit my wife went in one minute before me and sat at a vacant table. Immediately she was asked to move because it was a table for 5. So she moved. Not hello welcome ! She moved ti table where she could not clearly see the screen she wanted to watch.
