Chimi Churri — Restaurant in Orihuela

What a great meal and fantastic service from every member of staff that we spoke to.

Me and a friend decided to eat here on what was a very busy night with no reservation. The extremely attentive and lovely hostess Kaz (sorry if I have spelt that wrong) managed to squeeze us in.

From the moment we sat down the staff was extremely on point and noticed if our drinks were low (we didnt need to spend any time looking for someone to get a drink) and we had enough sides on our table.

When it comes to the food everything was perfectly seasoned. So many places dont bother, but it's great to see a restaurant not being scared to actually add flavour to food. Everything from the simplest mash to the meats, these guys cooked with love.

They had a great singer on that wasnt to load so we could still talk without shouting. He had a great selection of songs that just set a great atmosphere.

Honestly first time here and will definitely not be the last. It was a really really good night.

Thanks again Kaz for finding space and thanks to the waiting staff and to the forgotten chefs in the kitchen cooking on a hot busy Friday night.

We reserved a table in this restaurant a week earlier and had confirmation via WhatsApp. We arrived at 7.30pm, the time of our reservation ( we paid 20€ for a taxi to get there). The restaurant was closed. We tried to call, no answer. Sent a WhatsApp, no answer even though they were on line. We decided to go for a drink and come back in half an hour. The restaurant was still closed! Still no answer on the phone, no answer to WhatsApp. We managed to find another restaurant in the area so are there instead. Eventually we got a WhatsApp at 8.45pm to say that the restaurant was closed for the season!!!! Unbelievable! Why take our booking???? We heard since this is a usual occurrence and the week before it happened to a party of 16 people. So thanks Chimi Churri, our visit to you cost us 40€ in tax fares for nothing! We will NOT be back and will tell others of...

First of all: My wife was happy, so this might just be me.

We were sat at a table where the music was so loud that i couldnt hear what my wife was saying. My phone measured a steady 75-80 decibel which was exactly the same as inside the Celtic Drop later that evening while a live rock band was playing. I asked the woman who sat us to turn it down, and she "would have to ask someone". Did not seem interested and of course that never happened.

The buffalo meat was so tough that the table shook as i tried to cut it. Most meats were tough. My beer wasnt refilled for over 35 minutes.

All in all pretty hopeless but i would come back for the three brothers who i think are running the restaurant. They were the friendliest people and actually seemed to listen when i explained why i got up, paid and had...
